I'm working on an epic sci fi saga. When finished it will cover events as they unfold across two hundred years on earth, a lunar colony and eventually the first martian colony.

Aliens are present in my story, and i'm trying to handle them in a way that seems plausible.

The story takes place in a parralel reality, diverging from ours in 1940. I'm aiming for a high degree of technical plausibility (ably assisted by the main project director for Nasa and the CEO of the space development foundation)

As you might imagine, i'm looking for a couple of tropers willing to help advise me on the flow of the story.

Ja, I'm willing to have a glance. What's it about— how does history start diverging from WWII?

Hitler dies of an aneurism in 1940, and so world war 2 grinds to a halt. I'm not much of a history buff, so the events are relegated to brief mentions in radio bullitins.

If you look at the article on Dr Morell - Adolf's physician, you can see Morell had been feeding him illicit shit. The tablets which Morell gave to cure Adolf's ailing stomach — it deteriorated Adolf into having breakdowns.

Thus, Adolf may have died earlier (a heart attack, or aneurism), if you wish. But since the Nazi resolve then was still strong, a subordinate like Hermann Goring would have taken the helm.

Hm.. if that happens, the war will have spiralled in a different direction. I think Adolf's subordinates have helped masterminded his vision into fruition.. thus, if they take the helm, Nazi Germany would likely become a much more formidable force. You can take artistic liberties from there, with history.

I was thinking about something along those lines. What could happen in my story is: Goerring tries to keep the war going, but officers like klaus von staufenberg drag their feet, and the thing devolves into a quiet little civil war, the result of which is that rommel ends up leading germany.

I'll post a link to a pdf file tomorrow, as i need my beauty sleep.

You can have divided forces within the party - that looks like a plausible way to grind things to a halt. Ah, I bid you g'night.
