[up][up]when nothing proved that the character is a badass: she doesn't win fight in a cool way or against cool opponent is a necessary condition.

Yes, they've done that. After they've done that, When does it become an informed ability?

Rather than thinking 'when does it become an informed ability' it's more like 'when does the character become a true badass, i.e. when she does those things stated.' If the characterization plays up the fact that she's a badass, the default is she's a Faux Action Girl until she proves she's a true Badass, not the other way around.

Still not paying attention. I said become. The girl starts as an action girl (proved she was badass) then it becomes an informed ability.

The original question was directed to Bloodseeker.

[up]Basically, I think this would happen like any other case of a genuine ability becoming an informed ability - the work stops showing that she's badass, but continues to tell us that she is. Seems simple enough.

[up][up]I'm paying attention, I just don't think that's how it works do to the nature of an Action Girl. I.E. most writers have to make more of a conscious effort to prove the character is a badass, where with males they sort of do it automatically.
