[up] There are Low Episcopalians and High Episcopalians. The former are a lot less uptight than the latter, for the most part.

As you might be aware, that one's actually pretty old, but it's fantastic. Granted, I wanted to vomit at one point due to the subject matter—I could barely get more than twenty minutes into the actual film, and that was before I saw the review—but it's wonderfully executed.

In terms of first reviews it's really good. I'd say it's still one of his best to date.

[up]It says something about Kyle's talent level when even his first review is that good. I mean, the Nerd's first few videos are really rough (Course, they were made two years before the main series started), the Critic took a long time to find his proper format, even Spoony started improving vastly when he started writing scripts.

[up]Eh, that's debatable. I actually like the Nerd's earlier reviews much more, when he wrote jokes above the caliber of shitpickle. Spoony's vids really changed, but there's a certain rough charm to the earlier improv stuff you don't get anymore.

I dunno, I've always liked the more calm and analytical Nerd reviews. Cursing like a sailor and drinking can work as a gag for only so long.

[up][up]Swordquest was excellent, The Nerd's best review by a large margin.

[up]>Shortbus on TGWTG

Gonna be honest, ever since he reviewed it, I've wanted to see Shortbus, but I can't find a copy (at least, not for cheap or for free) anywhere.

There used to be a copy of the DVD in a shop in my old home town, and I knew of the movie before the review. I so wanted to buy it, but couldn't dare walk up to the counter with the DVD.

If it's this particular cover, I can see why, heh. Every other cover I saw was really innocuous.

I debated whether or not to watch this review, since the movie's been on my "to watch" list for a long time now...then I just decided "screw it, watch" anyway. Now I want to see the movie even more.

Also, Lupa's cameo [lol]

Scary thing is, Phelous and Linkara do actually sort of sound like Fozzy and Gonzo.

It's been a terrible weekend full of awful pain, and for a while the review wasn't helping, but the ending gave me that little speck of "it'll eventually be okay". I love this site and everything it's given me. smile

Well, this was really something special, it's really great that Kyle tries to improve his work constantly, and as someone who has to battle with depression, I found his final speech very poignant and very true.

Also, I can't belive Hagan's real name is actually Jerrica Benton. Yeah, I already knew it, but it's still odd to think about it.
