A modern soldier... of a different world.

001

002

Barbaric, yes? It is meant to be that way. Steel breast plate over ballistics vest, such protection is necessary considering they tend to "close the distance" a lot.

Ahem.

Ballistics vests only dampen impacts of certain bullets. If something is tough enough to cut through steel, it will go through the vest without question. You're better off with steel on the inside.

What are the purposes of the knee-guards and the boots? Why is armor on the limbs nonexistent? (If it's not finished, say so.) Why does one pauldron have spikes while the other does not?

Most importantly, do you know how the wearer will put this on?

Oh right yes it is concept art.

WIP.

Ah. So, I highly suggest finishing the outfit, if not the sketch in general. With side and back views as well as front.

Also, is there a reply to the point about the ballistics vest being under the steel plate?

Well if ballistics material over steel makes more sense I can do that.

But it must have a bulky steel breastplate.

The wearers tend to be somewhat like Orcs but I call them Morlocks. But their country is one of the most heavily industrialized in my story.

It makes sense in context to have a 20 Minutes into the Future armor with a metaphorical "barbaric paint finish".
