been trying to play a lot more medic lately, I need the certs, and it looks like the easiest class to auraxium. I splurged and plopped my 1k certs into the Terminus and I am really not regretting it. For all the world it feels like a comfortable middle ground between the NS-11A and the HV-45. It has a comfortable rate of fire, with a grip the recoil is very manageable, and even hipfired in close it performs almost as well as the HV-45 without the annoying "shit there went my clip" of 800 rpm.

x9: No Infiltrator has shotguns available. None

And they reverted the Adversarial Alert system back to the original one before it.

NC disagrees with their pistol shotgun :P

I mean I'm honestly surprised that the NC doesn't have an optional underbarrel shotgun for their shotguns.

They do now, actually - on a directives reward.

as much as I complain, I really do like the VS, and I have a lot of fun in the game, but it still feels really cheapened by a lot of things.

Like the magrider basically being a lightning but with a bigger hitbox. maybe if I could get a gunner who would actually stay there, and not disappear into a fight... If I had to pick a max to fight against it'd probably be the VS or TR max, in that order. VS basically doesn't have an ES Ability post ZOE nerf, and TR is less godawfully cheesy than the NC max and their combo shield/shotgun mixture.

I'm learning to headshot more reliably, and it's really helping my gameplay. I used to always aim for center mass, but that just left me dead in a fight I should have won.

As much as I like Planetside 2, I get the feeling there's very little trust in the developers, at least among the vs. With the talk of the new heat mechanic higby mentioned theres a lot of "RIP vs" talk. I want to believe that it'll be good, but I can't remember a time SOE gave vanu anything but nerfs or insufficient balance passes.

Magburner was niche enough already, so now what the fuck am I supposed to do with one second of boost on a 30+ second cooldown?

I just bought the Underboss. Dear GOD. THIS MUST BE WHAT HAVING A COMPETANT SIDEARM FEELS LIKE.

So SOE is making spawn kills not count towards medals, achievements, or directives. This could be interesting.

so Planetside 2 is dead to me for now. The most recent updates went from bad, to utterly unplayable in terms of performance. I went from running on all High graphics, to knocking it all down to low just to be able to play. Even then I had intermittent freezing. Now if there is any fighting at all on the hex I lock up 100% of the time.

Did you also run into a collision bug that prevented you from crouching properly?

sometimes, maybe, but I don't remember noticing it no.

Ragequit tonight. after 5-10 minutes hovering around outside sunderer SCREAMING for a goddamn gunner, I finally get one and get instagibbed by base turrets and prowlers. I broadcast so much that I got voicelocked.

In other news, I've since auraxiumed three guns! My beloved Lasher, the Thanatos, and the Sirius :)

wasn't really much point in posting, haha. the game performance was shitty for a long time, plus the fact that I'm literally the only one who posts, haha.

Can't say I know much about the guy other than what the article claimed. But I am awfully curious as to why Anonymous decide to harass this guy to the point where it's rumored that he quit so they'd stop attacking Sony and Daybreak Studio's various servers. Can't imagine it being the typical fanboy complaints you'd see about gameplay balance or F 2 P economy.

Smed tended to be an airhead that has no idea what's going on. Plus had had a part in running SOE/DB's games into the ground. While death threats are going too far, I don't like the man myself.

most of the pro-smedly comments I've seen are "he was a pretty chill dude" rather than "he was so competent"

so I guess neither side is mutually exclusive.

Aren't Planetside 1's servers still going? I remember playing the original a while back.

And do you mean what's new in PS2? What was the last update you played during?

No idea, but I've been out of it for at least a year. New vehicles? Weapons? I heard there was a big upcoming map change before I left, anything happen with that?

harassers have new ES AV weapons. LM Gs got changed, low battlerank newbiezone exists now.
