That section where the page seems to be defending nambla should get zapped.
Seeing all these piss ant tropers trying to talk tough makes me laugh. If Matrix were here, he'd laugh too.Ok, I chopped a lot of the worst Natter. I still think the page is useless and needs to be cut. Apparently the wiki editors who add examples to that page have a real problem understanding that for something or some group to be an Acceptable Target, mistreatment of them or jokes at their expense need to be treated as unexceptional and — well— acceptable by the majority of other people.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.The crowner has been up for quite a while, and has more than twice as many votes for cutting it as it has votes against. Enough to call it and cut?
(BTW, I think most of the votes against cutting was made before I started analyzing the page - since I published my findings in this thread, almost all new votes hs been in favor of cutting.)
<Mod Hat> Calling crowner. </Mod Hat>
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI've dewicked Acceptable Sexual Targets and thrown it and Quotes.Acceptable Sexual Targets on the Cut List. I've also linked the discussion page to this thread to have a future reference.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAcceptable Sexual Targets has been cut, and a notice about the TRS thread leading to the action has been posted on discussion.
Lock-hollering.

Crown Description:
The page is full of natter, and lists nearly every possible group out there.
@abk 0100,
That's "ways", not "way". And that's the problem. The page is not about "sexual minorities being acceptable targets". The page is about "sexual minorities, random natter".
Your three examples...
The first is a character complaining about potential discrimination in the workplace. Loopholes in workplace rights might be a valid trope, but it is not this one.
The second is trivia about a comedy show.
The third is an audience reaction about a choice of words.
