We don't seem to have a thread for this (or at least any more) so I wanted to make one. Anyone here play Puzzle Pirates? I've been playing a lot of Three Rings other MMO Spiral Knights and I looked into what else they made to find this.

What do people think about it?

I used the play the game, but grew disinterested. I prefer Spiral Knights for its more action-y gameplay. But then again, puzzles aren't my cup of tea.

Always looking for a good MMORPG with a great community...

It was a little too slow paced for me.

Slow, no real source of in-game income, required money for too many elements of it much of the time, puzzles weren't engaging for more than a few days each... Just wasn't my cuppa.

I used to love this game - particularly the in game economy, which, being mostly player driven, didn't have the ridiculous levels of inflation you get in a lot of other games.

The puzzles were fun, the various expeditions were interesting, and it was easy to just pick up on any given day and play - a perfect, fun time waster.

And then I went off to school, and while I was away they instituted this new rule where not logging on for three months calls for an immediately character wipe. Irritated, I never came back.

But I still think it's the best MMO I've ever played. Carpentry 4 Life.

"New rule"? If that was "new" you must have been played in beta or something.

In any case, you can make you character permanent by paying like 2 bucks on doubloons.

I love this game, though I only play it on and off.

Could we maybe form a troper crew?

^^ Nah, I played about three years ago, maybe a little less. I'd been away for long periods of time at school before and it never had been a problem - if they always had that rule then they must have shortened the time it takes to be canned from the game.

I did ask about it. From what I learned about it something was new at the time of my getting wiped.

I played years ago on Midnight, stopped, decided to get back into it, discovered Midnight was gone, got back into it anyway, and learned all about "Labor Hours".

What.
