Wick Migration:

I wrongly created a page for Take On Helicopters under main, so I'll be moving that to Videogames.

I'll be doing the same for its parent series, ARMA, which is also under main.

... I just realised I will need to correct on another wikipage I made.

EDIT: Well, partially done with wik migration for ARMA. This is going to take a while. -_-

Just zis guy
If this has been addressed before and I missed/forgot it, my apologies, but should the "finished" section also include works whose wicks were moved without the work ever being listed in the "wicks need moving" section?

A bit ago I knocked out moving the relevant wicks for Main.Carreras Legions to Literature.Carreras Legions (Main then being made a redirect to Literature, with 160-something inbounds IIRC), and with only 28 wicks and plenty of spare time on my part it didn't seem worth it to put it up on the list of stuff that needs wicks moved.

Discussion and review moved.
I would like to request that special attention be given to moving the wicks from Game.Mega Man to VideoGame.Mega Man, since there are over 1400 wicks to be moved - and I think the sooner we can get rid of all Game/ namespace wicks, the better.

I have the same question like Nohbody: I keep moving minor works off Main/ that were never listed on the sandbox page. I have nevertheless added them to the "Completed" folder, just to document that they were moved.

Is there any use in that? Or might I just as well not add them at all?

Edit: For anyone with the same question, the answer seems to be they should be addedd.

And My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is officially completely migrated!

Sweeto!
I have copied Main.Kaamelott to Series.Kaamelott.

There's no review or discussion page needing to be moved.

I have now copied Main.Wakfu to Western Animation.Wakfu.

Please add them to Sandbox.Wick Namespace Migration, not here.

I'm wondering what the best method is for keeping migrated pages migrated.

I'm considering saying that the date of migration should be left on the Namespace page (or date of last check), so things don't go too long without checking. It might also be worth bolding heavily wicked pages (such as Doctor Who or Friendship is Magic) to note that they're going to acquire bad wicks pretty quickly and need regular checks.

Does this seem a helpful or viable idea at all? Am I forgetting some way in which this won't work or cause trouble?
Don't ask me, I just fix wicks.
I thought I'd posted before, but just in case I haven't:

I moved TheNormanConquests to Theatre.

I also moved MillenniumSnow to Manga.

On the Sandbox page, is it alright if I move Doctor Who back into the unfinished section?

While it may have been done, it's since got another 502 wicks on the mainspace link.

Also, I moved DuckTales to the WesternAnimation namespace.

I see other light novels like Bakemonogatari under Literature, so I've moved Ore Imo there too (it was under anime).

I've never done that before, but I followed the instructions on How to Move a Page so it should have turned out all right.

There is a discussion, which I've requested be moved as well (not that I think we would lose much if it was simply jettisoned).

Also this has been added to the sandbox page.

Incidentally are we doing anything about redirects to the old page? I don't really know how to change it, but at the moment if someone uses the title Ore Imo, I think it will go Ore Imo > Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai! > Literature/ Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai!.

Is there any way to fix this (so they point directly at the new page)?

It's super effective.
[up][up] Moved sections.

Seeking for Light
[up][up] Edit the redirect. Type the normal URL into the navigation bar and append "?action=edit" (sans quotes) to the end of the page name. It will take you directly to the edit page, and you can change where the redirect points to.

It would appear someone has moved Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai! back to Anime/.

Fast Eddie did, it seems. He locked it too, even. So where do we put Light Novels?

Moved it to LightNovel.Ore No Imouto Ga Konna Ni Kawaii Wake Ga Nai

The Light Novel namespace is where these should go.

It's super effective.
Busy working on Doctor Who's migration, but I moved The Simpsons Movie to Film/.

Sweeto!
There seems to be some confusion about which namespace The Abridged Series should go.

For example, Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series use the WebOriginal namespace, while other (like Avatar: The Abridged Series) use the FanFic namespace.

In my opinion, Abridged Series are Fan Works, since they always use an original series as basis. Should we move Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series to the FanFic namespace?

And mayve remove The Abridged Series from the Web Original index altogether, while we're at it.

Hm?
The problem with that is that Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series (and presumably the Avatar one as well) isn't a fanfic. It's a series of videos that's closer to an unofficial Gag Dub. To me, it would be flat out misleading to put it in the Fanfic/ namespace. I think WebOriginal/ would be better.

There's a discussion on that very topic going on right now, here.

EDIT to correct the broken link.

I don't think Doctor Who'll ever be finished, but I've whittled it down immensely.

I see, so we do have a light novel namespace.

Guess I'd better move Bakemonogatari, Baccano! and AngelBeats too then.

Edit: Okay, I'm in the process of moving Bakemonogatari, but I'm out of time for now.

If anyone knows a reason why these works should stay in literature, or wants to move them themselves just let me know.
