Gnositic Sects:Simmilarities and Differences

Gnosticism Gnosticism Notices, different sects have different lists of texts, which leads to a Continuity Snarl if you lump all Gnostic texts into one category. Any early Gnostic probably would have considered his sectarian identity more important than his Gnostic identity. Also, post your experiences of reading Gnostic texts as well.

There isn't much point in grouping different Gnostics together other than the very basic secret knowlege bit and everything, i.e. around as much point in grouping the Abahamaic religions together, at best.

Apart the fact that I found gnostic mythology extremely interesting I don't know much about it. I should borrow a book about that from my city's library.
