Disney is actually putting effort into getting actual characters? I'm impressed.
Yeah, they could have had the whole thing go the way of Boppin'...
Now if only they'd put this much effort into creating original content once in a while...
This is prettty original.

Are you talking about details on the actual film? Or the general bias about "originality in disney films"?
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsThe main characters are original. I'm talking about how these days Disney has to rely on Jim Hensons' characters, MARVEL's characters, and scooping up already-known video game villains.
Yeah, because Disney owns Marvel and the Muppets. Say what you want about comic book movies but I'm glad they're using the latter.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I love it when people act like Disney buying Marvel was like buying out a ma and pa store. Marvel were already merchandising whores WAAAAAAY before Disney gobbled em up.
And say what you will about Disney owning the muppets, they made the best muppet movie since Jim passed.
Though granted the 1990s stuff set the bar so low it'd be amazing if they didn't.
I'd go as far as to say the new Muppets movie was funnier than The Muppets Take Manhattan and a decent number of The Muppet Show episodes.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I'm not saying MARVEL wasn't a money-grubbing corporation before Disney bought them OR that The Muppets wasn't good. I'm saying that Disney can't rely on properties elsewhere forever in order to be sustained.
...And they haven't been. Not really.
They've released one Muppets movie and...what, like, one Marvel movie a year for the past decade? Maybe two here and there? That's hardly relying on acquired brands.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Test screening review here. Spoiler free, but it does add Chun-Li to the cameo list

Chun Li was a DJ
I think it refers to the mentality behind the buyout. I remember Iger seemed to want to buy out more properties for disney to utilize.

Maybe...
The Cameos are definitely selling me over
I'm having to learn to pay the priceIt could be like Roger Rabbit if the characters and story are interesting. People went for Mickey and Bugs and stayed for Roger, Jessica, and Eddie.
"Pancakes. Oh, I blew it." - Joel Hodgson Nobody better lay a Butterfinger on my 3DS!I think that's one of their hooks.
Where's a damn trailer already?
I'm guessing they'll do something at E3 if they're smart or we'll see something attached to Brave.
Trailer? Isn't this coming out for a while. I know that they released the teaser for The Princess And The Frog a full year and a half in advance though!
It comes out in a few months...
Never tell your problems to anyone...20% don't care and the other 80% are glad you have them. This could well be the Roger Rabbit of video games, now that you mention it.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaLasseter has stated that the movie is like Who Framed Roger Rabbit for video games.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceLet's hope it won't be nearly as terrifying...
Looking for some stories?
Quite possibly the most apropos use of that video macro ever.
