Mmhm. Then she probably wouldn't be playable in the NSMB series.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!New Super Mario Bros. prides itself on having no differences among the characters. It wouldn't make sense if she was heavily different.
I do like the Peach/Toad/Toadette/Toadsworth idea, though. It actually fits and makes sense.
Really, the only way I can see the Super Mario 64 DS thing making sense if Wario came along because a party was going on. He joins the Mario Parties often. It's not weird when done like that. Him saving lives for nothing? Unless the world is about to end, he wouldn't do it. He's still heroic when the worse comes to shove, but in general, pfft. He's not really a "hero", persay.
Quest 64 threadImma bet the only reason Wario was in SM64DS is because there was MUNNY as a reward for saving Peach. It's not too farfetched. Plus I don't think he's that bad of a guy. An asshole? Sure. Evil? Hell no!
And the Peach/Toad/Toadette/Toadsworth idea is awesome. If only because Toadsworth is a great character who desperately Needs More Love.

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."According to the story in the manual, Luigi and Wario were crashing the party. They ended up being kidnapped along with Mario by Bowser's minions.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Now why in the world would Luigi want to crash that party?
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.BECAUSE NO ONE EVER PAY ATTENTION TO WEEGEE!
Sorry XD

At least Weegee is getting a lot of attention nowadays. It's a standard for him to be playable in every game since NSMB and Galaxy, so I'm not surprised whenever they announce Luigi is playable anymore.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. And now he's going to be playable, in Single Player mind you, from the start in New Super Mario Bros. U. No need to beat the game and enter some button combination this time.

Eh.He was playable from the start in Wii also, you just had to die eight times in a level, or plug in another Wiimote, and make Mario drop out. In U, you can play as someone besides Mario this time.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. You could do the button combination in the original from the start too.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!But you had to look it up on a magazine/the Internet. That's what I did .
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Is there anyone who doesn't do that these days?
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Real gamers don't need instructions.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Depends on the game. Lost Forever items in RPGs for example...
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!For RPGs, I'll give you that, but my point still stands.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I also remember some other Lost Forever things in a couple games that would have been nice to know about beforehand... and then there's Wutai Theft and all that goes with that.
But for other games, I mainly look it up to get things at the quickest possible time. I have a growing backlog, and I need to play it off.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!In platformers, though, it's best if you play through the game on your own, since they're more straightforward than most game. Plus, there are some difficult situations that no amount of instruction can resolve, only your own skill.
A good example of this is the FLUDD-less levels in Super Mario Sunshine, or all of Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. What do you mean? Finding out the Luigi code in NSMB on the net was pretty useful to me .

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."My general rule is to make an honest effort to figure it out on my own. But if I get stuck, then I use the net.
In Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, one of the ways to open an actual entrance required you to go around a rock tons of times. The in-game information was very vague. I would've never figured it out with Game FA Qs.
Instructions are not always good in-game, and there's zero reason the controls shouldn't be in the manual no matter what. Now, if people would rather figure it out in-game, that's fine, of course. But it should be available via the manual anyway. Most games do have instructions.
Albeit, Guide Dang It! moments suck no matter what.
Quest 64 threadTrue that... though that means I just look them up to find out about unlockables.
(AKA I mostly use guides to figure out unlockables and Lost Forevers, as well as potential Wutai Theft and Guest Star Party Members. Everything else I do myself.)

Suuuuuuuuuuuure...
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."The mushroom hats are Parasects?
The pictures of Peach fighting back in 3D Land were pretty smart, since she's both an Action Girl and Distressed Damsel in that game.
I think if they're going to make Peach playable, they're going to have to give her the abilities she had in Super Mario Bros 2, since those abilities have been well established as being part of her.
