Another great one from the same artist: the lot of them were used in a NSMBWII romhack or something, I think.

To me, the reason we haven't had a Mario thread for a while is because the series needs no discussion. Other series like The Legend Of Zelda, Sonic The Hedgehog and Final Fantasy need discussion on either the plot, gameplay, or what the future of the series should be, but the Mario series is just fun and surprising enough for it to not need any discussion.

Mario's been giving the fun for 30 years now, and he's not going to stop any time soon.

Also, every game in the main series and the RP Gs are all great.

I've found that the Mario spinoffs, whether by Nintendo and their associates or third party companies, are consistently fun too even if they vary in difficulty... with exceptions of course. You generally can't go wrong with a Mario game.

Even the Mario & Sonic titles? That is, unless they count as the exceptions.

I like the Mario & Sonic titles, but I'll give an example of what I consider an exception:

Ugh! I remember that game. It was really difficult and tedious to get anything done!

x3 Hey, the second M&S was WAY awesome, or at least WAY better than the first one.

So I decided to play Mario And Luigi Superstar Saga under two conditions:

• 1: I can only heal during Boss fights and in safe areas
• 2: For an area to be counted as safe, it must be inhabited by Friendly NPCS and have no monsters in them.

So far, Mush Jeans + Mush Badge + Great Force + Over 130 Attack on Luigi + >200 Mushrooms = Battles ending on first strike. Going to Joke's End soon.

You should be playing with a third condition: To spread the word about Prince Peasley as a character. Seriously, though, he's remembered a lot less than he should be.

If Prince Peasley was more well known, there'd be Luigi X Peasley Yaoi everywhere.

And that's not good YMMV.

O_o I think it's for the best that he DIDN'T get more exposure.

Oh, I remember that. There was a lot of that back in the day, and it was how I first discovered Yoai. (MY EYES!) What the hell is up with that pairing anyway? HOW THE HELL DID IT EVEN SPAWN IN THE FANDOM!?

Bcuz of how Luigi acted towards him. And why would you say that?

Seriously, there's something wrong when even I can detect the undertones between Luigi and Prince Peasley. To give those unfamiliar an example, Luigi gets hearts over his head when Peasley pokes him in the back with his rapier. That's too freaking obvious to NOT be intentional.

In my version of the game, the hearts over Luigi's head doesn't appear over Luigi's head (as a side note, in my version of the game, sometimes the sound of Luigi's scurrying keeps on repeating after bashing into the big, derpy Koopas, and the sound of Mario getting electrocuted repeats after get crushed by the spiky rollers), but that doesn't stop the fact that it looks like Luigi's enjoying it, or that he becomes flushed afterwards.

Ah, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga! Great game. I liked the Bros Attacks, especially Luigi's in that one. Hitting more than one enemy and whatnot so I always raised his speed the most. I think in fact Luigi got most of my stat boost cafe drinks.

In my current file, Luigi's the Lightning Bruiser while Mario just the Mighty Glacier.

So are mine mostly. His POW stat isn't all that high yet, but his Stache stat is reaching ridiculous levels.

And with the Game-Breaker equipment, I doubt, I would have to increase the POW stat by a lot.

Probably why he became the villain in Bowser's Inside Story, and boy did he deliver!

Every single Koopaling died on the first turn. Seriously, the Mush equips and the Great Force are absolutely broken. And due to After Boss Recovery, I don't need to worry about spending too much BP.

Just beat the whole game in under 15 hours. Bowletta was KO'd in one turn, but her heart took two turns, not counting the turn I spent trying to reveal it.
