Sun of the Dusk
Technically, only a small part takes place "after" Halo 3. About 4/5 in, the memorial shown in Halo 3's epilogue takes place. So about 2553.

So apparently Halo 4 will have 10 new weapons, 2 new vehicles, and 50 Spartan Ops missions for season one, which will span over 10 weeks. Source hereedited 27th Jun '12 7:21:46 PM by OrKuunArQenByundis Dream Weaver

Maybe make up some alien species and detail one's experiences throughout the Forerunner-Flood War? Ending with him going into stasis on a Shield World or Halo Installation or something so you can make a sequel in present-times.
Wish Halo had more aliens. There's supposed to be tens of thousands, but we've only seen about 8. We should meet some in Halo 4 or 5 that could potentially ally with us and become a playable race alongside Elites and maybe Forerunners.

Hmm, given all the weapons and vehicles we've had in past games, I'm less curious about what all they're introducing than about what all they're bringing back. For instance, which Covie Warthog equiv are they going to have here, if any? The Spectre? The Revenant? The Prowler? All three*? So many possibilities.

I agree with Byundis on Alien species. Currently ME 3 is the only console game where I can run around shootin' things as an Alien. Halo should change that.

Forward Unto Dawn trailer released. Cannot post it for various reasons, but sure someone'll get on it

It's not the trailer though. It's just a small taste of the trailer.

By the way, I was playing Halo 2 the other day, and I noticed that the panel used to deactivate the quarantine shield had a 6-fingered hand-print on it, with a thumb on each side and 4 central fingers. That confirms Primordium's description of warrior-servants having 6 fingers, but the Knights only have 5 on those spindly little arms. Wonder if that's been retconned.
Alternatively, Forerunners could all have 4 arms, 2 of which have 5 fingers.

Well, if we suppose that Promethean Knights really are just biomechanical constructs, then the five-fingered hands could symbolize that they're not really true warrior-servants or something like that. Or it could just be an arbitrary design choice. Remember, they only have three "toes" on their feet, after all.

So I'm watching MLG tournament footage for Halo 4 and it seems that all the weapons sound a lot more beastly! I mean goddamn, the DMR is like the fist of god pounding on your face all over and over again.
Needler seems kind of improved but not enough people have used it to really give me a good enough idea of what it's capable of.
I'm afraid that forerunner light-shotgun just feels... too much like the shotgun I guess? Is the human shotty even returning? And what about the grenade launcher or any of the brute weapons?
