That's how all bad games are. They put together an awesome cinematic or create a cool-looking trailer consisting entirely of set pieces and scripted sequences. It hypes everyone up about the game without actually showing any gameplay.
So all main Assasin's Creed games are bad games

I didn't enjoy it, but trailers aren't made to be enjoyed, I am suitably hyped however.
I didn't say all games that do that are bad, just that often games that don't show any gameplay aren't showing any for a reason.
- Thread hops* Wait...who's doing this if Bungie is off with Activision?
Anyone who used to work on the series?
343 Industries other than that idk
I think you're be overly critical. It was just announced so of course it wouldn't have any gameplay
Another advantage to trailers. You can't critisize it yet.
If you look at the other Halo trailers none of them really reflect the actual gameplay stroyline. They're just there to look suitably badass.
As for the jetpack, if you look at the rest of his armour, it is most certainly different from the Mark VI in the last game... not sure how they're gonna work that in.
I doubt John'll start off with that armour or the jetpack - it's probably just a show of what will be in it at some point.
Also, did he screw something onto the grenade pistol thing at the end there? Weapon personalisation mahbe?
Does that make me crazy? But all the other ones were suitably epic.
I still get chills from the Halo 2 Announcement Trailer.
:STOP DESTRUCTION OF HUMAN RACE
>IN PROGRESS
It's not over. Not yet.The Halo 4 CGI trailer is just an awesome version of a press release.
One of the best things about the halo series is that they revile in how badass The Chief is, not many games would dub the player "The Demon"
It looked to me like he was just reloading the grenade pistol.

Meh, not much interest in it yet. I'm getting the feeling that there's gonna be a bunch of rehashes in it anyhow, especially since the multiplayer heavily relies upon a lot of the previous gameplay mechanics.
Ah, yeah, now I see it. Didn't realise that the front of the pistol was actually the ammo...
Ah well, can still dream ,right? D:

Does that make me crazy?"Trailers aren't meant to be enjoyed"
Say what?
Let's focus on the gigantic thing. Precursors?
Proud member of the IAA What's the point of being grown up if you can't act childish? You mean a game that's a direct sequel to another game might use game mechanics from a previous installment? It must be the end of the world.
A trilogy!? Geez, Franchise Zombie ahoy! On a more positive note, perhaps this will be free of ridiculously stupid stuff, like everything I've heard about Cryptum.
Too easy?
They just left that part so if anyone wanted to continue the story after they left, they could without having somee massive retcon that would ruin the story.

Remember when people called franchise zombie on Legend of Zelda?
Cortanna changed her hair... Why did she change her hair? Now I'm irked. I have to know!
I'm hoping this becomes a Zelda and not a Call of Duty. Say what you will about Zelda, but they never release a bad game.
I have a podcast! I think that you should listen to it.Well I don't think Nintendo did, but Zelda definitely had at least 1 bad game
They don't count dammit! But yeah, I shall remain optimistic until I have more info.
I have a podcast! I think that you should listen to it.Here what I say about these long runner games.
They don't have to be bad. As long as each new title has evolved from the previous, the series will still have life.
The problem comes when the publishers just milk it without changing anything at all.
For example, Battlefield and COD. COD is just a copy/paste of COD 4 with some new looking weapons. It's like a big map pack. They don't change anything.
Battlefield, is an evolving title. With Battlefield 3 they haven't stuck to the same old. Sure, core gameplay is the same, but they took the time to build a brand new engine. That's why Battlefield hasn't gone out of style. Nintendo games are the same way. A good example is Smash Bros 64 going into Smash Bros Melee. They took the original gameplay and made it better.
As long as Halo can do that, it will never suffer from COD syndrome.
Well then, wot da zog was that humongous thing opening up?
