Me, personally, at the moment, all my big gaming setup consists of is on desk to keep me glued in. Oh, that stereotype that people do everything at a desk or sitting away from a TV, not true with people like me. It's all at the desk, largely because of my current furniture.

I've got one desktop over here, in the desk, with a Quad-Core, HD 4870, and a single 1080p monitor hooked into it. I have the audio separated into some Creative speakers, 5 total. And the other of the one male to two female, some Sennheiser headphones. That way, I can turn the speakers down and still hear things. I'm using an XBOX 360 controller, and again, only 1 monitor. Because I'm only using an HD 4870, instead of a 6870 or so. Plus this is fine enough real estate for now. For now. When I upgrade it I will use more than one monitor. It's only a 22-inch monitor, by the way. And more than 22 inches on only 1080p is probably a waste, anyway. I'm not getting a bigger one unless I get higher resolution.

Then to the left, I have my 24 inch 1080p LCD TV. Which I'll probably also plug in to my computer when I have more horsepower. It's right on the same desk, right to the left of my computer monitor plugged into my computer. And it is hooked into my Play Station 3, my Nintendo Wii, and an all region DVD player. And hopefully soon to be an XBOX 360. I don't have it hooked into cable TV because I don't watch American television.

It's a pretty good setup right now. I can do most things just fine. My planned upgrades, however, are dual HD 6870s, an overclocked Six-Core, some better Sennheiser headphones, a good headphone amp, an XBOX 360, and some rather larger 2560 x 1600 screens. And then I should be pretty content for a while until Ultra HD/4320p, then I'll be looking into some very very huge screens.

So how's your setup?

I have a desk. My computer is at said desk. The specs of said computer don't interest me terribly. It works for what I want it to. This is fine with me. The desk is always messy. I have a tv stand with a tv on it and a Wii and PS 2. I also do not care about the specs of my tv. It is fine for what I want it for. This thing is always messy too. My games themselves are organized on my bookshelves by console and then alphabetically by title. Should my collection grow I will organize them by genre as well.

My gameboy games I keep in a box. These too are obsessively organized.

I keep my desktop PC in my room, laptop stashed under my bed for those lazy Saturday mornings and Xbox with the networky bitz in the living room.

Hmm, as for the games, they're all on a big shelf I have behind me in my sleeping room, same room as my desk/main gaming setup.

I don't really obsessively organize my stuff, even though I'm pretty OCD. Largely because I don't like touching stuff I love a lot. I get more OCD about scratch marks and fingerprints and the like. Mostly the organizational thing comes between a desire to have all of my favourite things in one place, beside each other, and them being oddly fitting.

Like I opine a little bit on whether to have my copy of Tales of Symphonia, the Gamecube version, Tales of Symphonia, the Play Station 2, Japanese imported edition, and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, all beside each other, in a special place because I love them. Or whether I should keep them normal and organized in my shelf stacks of Gamecube, Play Station 2, and Wii games separately. My handheld systems I just keep in my purse with whatever games I'm playing at the time.

I don't really consider it a large part of my "gaming setup", as I consider it my library setup. But since it was brought up I figured I'd might as well indulge.

At Phoenix:

Gateway FX with Intel i7, around 3 Gigs of RAM and an Nvidia GT 440 card. Sound comes from a nice pair of AKG headphones, monitor is a large LCD with ridiculously high resolution. Internet connection is a built-in wireless card that runs through a relatively brand-new N-Router.

In Florida:

HP Pavilion with AMD Athlon Phenom X4, 4 Gigs of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT. Sound comes from a Creative Media Speaker Set, monitor is a much smaller Samsung LCD flatscreen. Internet connection is a cable-based router provided by Bright House.

Most of my PC library is on Steam, and I only view what I have installed.

Most everything on a desktop, headphones for sound (best stereo image for the dollar.) For games that're playable with a gamepad, I use a video projector, also for watching movies and things (big screen means measured in feet, not inchescool.)
