New series coming next year:

http://www.codelyoko.com/

Sigh.......I don't really think I like the idea of this. Code Lyoko ran for 4 seasons and 95 episodes and ended on a pretty damn good note. Why drag it out any further? Is it really that much of a Cashcow Franchise to warrant it? Oh well, I suppose we'll just have to wait and see how it goes....

Though I guess it might be worth it if Ulrich and Yumi somehow finally get over their damn unresolved sexual tension....and/or if Odd and Sissi fully recognize their own. tongue

Is it confirmed as a series? I only heard about it a few days ago, but nothing beyond the title and release year.

Really?
Really, really?

Meh. I stopped watching it when they changed the in-game avatars to jump-suits.
I'll watch the pilot and decide from there.

Technically it was 97 episodes. There was one of them two part prequel things. :P

Also, I demand that Odd/Ulrich be made canon. >=(

You can't say no to two prequel episodes. They happened. Fanon Discontinuity will not be accepted. >=(

I think it was more to the Odd/Ulrich thing.

Huh. I'm kinda disappointed they're bringing this back after how they actually ended it fairly well, but I guess if it turns out to be good enough...

I was never a big fan but my brother was, I liked the characters and plot but was generally put off by the gratiuitous Stock Footage. If the new show/movie actually had a budget there are many things that can either be explained or go on to a brand new story.

Aww, man. I loved this show, they ended it so well.

I'm just gonna hope it's good.

If we get to see Lyoko Jeremy, then no matter how much the rest of the series sucks, it will be worth it.

I was really fond of the old show, but as has been noted, it did use a lot of filler. On the bright side, that's left PLENTY of potential plot material for sequels. Don't wanna judge this one till I see it firsthand, it seems like it could easily go either way.

Furthermore, I think Guantanamo must be destroyed.

[up][up] Agreed.

I never got achance to see as much of the show as I want, but now that I know how to play the theme song on the piano I'm glad to know it won't go to waste.

The whole Men In Black / Project Carthage bit being left unanswered was frustrating.

The Atlantyca Code Lyoko novels seem to have built a proper plot out of that, but they do not exist in English form beyond a partial fanslation...

Hope we get a proper explanation this time.

Yes, getting some answers would be nice. But I'm interested where they're going to go villain-wise. XANA was great, if only for its mystique.

God no. I watched roughly a minute of the first episode of the first series and got a headache.

Then I realized that headache was my brain asking me to kill it.

I saw the first episode and fell in love with how weird it was. Never got to see a good portion of season 4, though, particularly the ending.

To be honest, I kind of hope Project Carthage is the focus of the next season.

Gotta be honest, as much as I loved this show as a kid it slowly got less and less interesting as it went on. Just the animation style and the lack of change got to me. i stopped watching early in Season 4.

While I'm rather excited about this, having liked the original Code Lyoko, I think I'm going to hold off on any expectations until this is actually released.

Edit; Just noticed the live-action part. PLEASE just let that be a rumor.
