Unclear distinction - Tarot Troubles, Tarot Motifs

The title and description suggest that Tarot Motifs is meant as a list of oblique references to Tarot, well, motifs, while Tarot Troubles is for scenes in which people actually read the Tarot. However, the examples for both tropes include both of these situations.

If we can confirm the difference between the tropes, we can add a line to each page explaining it.

Another possibilty is that Tarot Troubles was intended as a kind of "Hollywood Tarot" page (the description gives a lot of emphasis to the "did not do the reseach" elements), in which case it seems rather redundant if we have another page about Tarot in general.

I think the distinction as described in each trope's description is fine (i.e. Tarot Motifs is about the writer drawing inspiration/ideas from Tarot cards while Tarot Troubles is about telling a fortune using them within a work). If the examples do not fit those descriptions, I think they should just be moved.

There is nothing to stop something from being both though. Persona 3 Persona 4 is entirely built around Tarot Motifs down to personalities and Persona 4 opens with a guy giving the main character a reading.

[up] Then P4 could go on both pages. There are examples that would only fit on one or the other, which is the important thing.

By the looks at this, the best course of action would be to turn Tarot Motifs into a Useful Notes.

[up][up] Which is my point P3 entirely revolves around a Tarot Motif but no actual reading is in the thing.

[up]God no it is a serious trope there, Moving the actual card meanings to a subpage but that's about it.

It seems like the examples just need cleanup to match the current intended usage; Tarot Motifs for when tarot symbolism is being employed, Tarot Troubles for actual readings.

That, or merge it all into Tarot Motifs. There's no need to turn it into a Useful Notes when it a valid trope comparable to Animal Motifs, Chess Motifs, and Flower Motifs.

Getting a Tarot Reading or having a bad reaction to a Tarot Reading (hence the "Troubles" part.) is way different than just a Tarot Motif so no to merge.

Yeah, I don't think it needs merging, that distinction is a good one. Now there's a clear do-not-confuse message on each page it should be alright. Still a few examples on Tarot Motifs that would be better on Tarot Troubles, I'm moving some over now.

Alright, It's October. It looks like there is a "do not confuse" warining on Tarot Motifs. Is there anything else left to do here?

If not, Let's lock this baby up.
