Thanks to the Summer Sale I've learned that PC elitism is utter dreck and Bethesda games never work. :(

If I ever do get Phantom Pain, I'm not putting myself through this aggravation. I'm just getting it for PS 4.

Hey I'm getting a brand new fancy computer soon.

So I am happy that I won't have to look too hard for the games now.

PCs are theoretically preferable to consoles but the corollary is that you need a really nice one, like in the thousands of USD range, so you probably did have problems that you will not have.

It is going to be built for gaming. Plus I don't exactly run on high graphics.

It's mostly because my laptop is basically a dying piece a shit right now. Like I can't take it anywhere, and it needs a external keyboard to function. And a cooling fan.

Yeah... that might possibly warrant a replacement.

I would suggest just getting a cheap "working" computer though with the basics (namely, just a CD drive and the necessary external connectors). Laptop gaming rigs usually aren't worth it, because their parts are irreplaceable once they burn out and rarely compete with their desktop counterparts.

Oh, and in regards to the Philosopher's legacy and their money... Kreiger's right, the canonicity behind that sucker is really ambiguous, and mostly due to how it never seems to run out. There's even a couple of lines in MGSV that imply Zero had his own large share of the legacy and built Cipher with it. Granted, $100 billion USD in the sixties and seventies is gonna be a TON of money (accounting for today's inflation it'd probably be worth around $1.3 TRILLION USD), but there comes a point where you'd imagine the legacy would run dry, especially with how it was repeatedly split up between groups.

I got a proper Desktop coming up. Friend helped me find good parts on a budget plus Birthday money and computer money from grandparents.

Well, at least HALF of the Patriots weren't really morons, so it's plausible that they starts investing on things that either can make money, or better, make money and forward their goals. Even Big Boss, the gun-musclehead he is, actually smart enough to know that he sucks at financial, so he let it all on his friend that has gift (more or less) on making supplies: Kaz Miller.

The existence of the pachinko machine is not nearly as offensive as the emphasis on it. Fuckin' everyone licenses their properties to pachinko machines in Japan, but not everyone says screw it and makes it the main focus.

So thanks to my new computer I am now playing Metal Gear Solid V. And oh my god, is it natural for a game to just... handle this well? Like mechanically the game just works, it just works!

Hell when a enemy is alerted to my presence, doesn't even feel like the game did that through a bug, it feels like I screwed up!
