Hell, I don't think the program even works anymore. Last time I tried to play Just Cause 2 with my PS 3 controller using Motionin Joy, the site it typically connects to seemed to be abandoned, or in a very bad state of disrepair. The font was basic Arial, no background or colors, the formatting was totally off causing to the page be a jumbled mess, and it kept resetting any changes I made as soon as I minimized the screen. And their support forums are being flooded by spambots, with the genuine requests for technical help being unanswered for months now. Because of that I decided to uninstall the sucker, but parts of it's software keeps on re-installing itself despite my attempts to remove it.
Basically it's nothing more than malware now, so avoid using it.

@MrMallard:
Keep in mind that the only developer who comes close to saying that "he's done" and ultimately coming back as much as Kojima is Masahiro Sakurai.
Kojima is either trolling, or there is some conflicted part of him that wants to quit but his attachment to his life's work is too strong. I'd say is a combo.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I'll be surprised if he stays, mostly because of the way Konami have treated him. I mean, they severely restricted his internet rights and started taking his name off of The Phantom Pain's advertising, and they've been erasing Kojima Productions from the Konami website.
And yet he's still working on creating a top-notch, triple-A title for them. And he can't leave until December.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.Didn't they put his name back after backlash from his fans?
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Huh, I didn't see anything about this.
According to IGN, they've put his name back on the Legacy Collection and on Snake Eater 3D. VG 247 reports the same thing, but they also report that Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain haven't been updated.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.Does anyone know if you can upgrade Snake's HP or damage resistance in Portable Ops? I want to beat Python with my tranq gun, but I can't do that because Python's machine gun fire cuts through my health like a hot knife cuts through butter.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.Anyone else enjoying the /v/ conspiracy that the head transplant guy is part of a metal gear campaign?
...You're REALLY gonna need to provide a link to what you're talking about, cause I've got absolutely no idea.
Listening to Paz's diaries on Ground Zeroes, 5th entry.
Dayam. Strangelove x Paz. Think I need to take a shower.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!RE:Kojima not being fired?:
Er, isn't Kojima still gonna do Silent Hills? With Guillermo del Toro?
He's not been fired yet. The odds are good he's a dead man walking as far as Konami is concerned, with his dismissal by the end of the year just about a sure thing.
I sure said that! He's probably not going to finish Silent Hills, his contract runs out before then.
And Silent Hill being screwed over is kind of par for the course quite frankly.
Am I the only one who actually listened to Paz's diaries in Peacewalker?
PSN ID: FateSeraph Congratulations! She/TheyI did and all I got out of it was homosexuality and that Snake and Miller need to be idol singers.

Oh really when?Same, I just ask because I keep coming across people who I know played Peace Walker who think the diaries w Ere either Japan-exclusive or didn't exist until Ground Zeroes.
Good to know I'm not hallucinating. Bad to know I'm not prophetic.
PSN ID: FateSeraph Congratulations! She/TheyHow do you get Paz's diaries?
Some bullshit involving A.I. pods.
AI bosses, II and Custom.
Good luck.
P.S. I recommend doing it solo for mad bragging rights. Especially Peace Walker Custom.

PSN ID: FateSeraph Congratulations! She/TheyI just finished Portable Ops. I ended up liking it a lot - I did plow through the story once I got bored with the fetch quests, but I liked the story and the boss battles.
I don't think it was a perfect wrap-up as some people might claim, because it doesn't show Big Boss creating Outer Heaven and defecting from the USA to do so, even if it does show his inspiration to do so, how he got the funds to do so and how he realized that he was only ever alive in battle. There were still loose ends to wrap up, so I don't mind that it was succeeded by Peace Walker and MGSV. And though the series has decided to cherrypick elements from the game to include in the canon, I think that this was a pretty good Metal Gear Solid game as a whole.
I don't think I did too well overall though, because my ending rank was Kerotan. According to the Metal Gear wiki, that's the lowest one.
Oh well. On to Peace Walker!
I can see why they ended up replacing David Hayter as Big Boss. So far, his voice is less "Snake" and more "unfocused growling". It seems like doing Snake's voice for so long has damaged his capacity to do it.

Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down. But seriously, he did HRGHHMFLLMEREGBWWER-ing for like three minutes straight in the torture scene, one take a minute. That's crazy- Does Hayter even need to breath?
I sure said that!So far, I've beaten the first military vehicle and rescued Chico. So this is where all the talk about Big Boss being a testosterone-powered superman comes from. Like sure he did cool and manly things in 3, but he was also a super-oblivious Gun Nut dork. In comparison, his portrayal in this game is just taking the cake.
I get that he's a decade older now, but still.
I think compared to Portable Ops, Peace Walker is superior in pretty much every way. The font is better. The graphics are unbelievable for a PSP title, and I say that as a PSP fanboy. The gameplay is split-up and modular like Portable Ops, but the sandboxes are much wider and have traditional Metal Gear Solid transitions between areas, rather than dumping you in a diorama made of boxes. Everything is functioning extremely well, and you can even play your own BGM.
My one gripe so far? The controls are extremely different, and I am having a very hard time adapting to it. Everything's switched around and feels much more complicated than the simple, satisfying gameplay of MPO. I'm using the control scheme closest to MPO, and it's really throwing me for a loop. I also have a nitpick - shock rods? Not knives, shock rods? I understand that the Japanese game was full of product placement and censorship so it could have a kiddy rating, but it sucks seeing a scene where a knife would fit perfectly, and seeing Big Boss use a frigging sci-fi children's toy to knock out his enemies.
I'm getting the hang of it, though. I can barely hear Tara Strong's trademark voice as Paz, the 'professor' is sounding very much like Spike Spiegal and Grey DeLisle is doing a really good job. It's interesting hearing Steve Nlum as this guy after hearing him as Gene - Gene only ever sounded like Spike in the final battle, when he pants after doing his charge attack.
But yeah. The visuals are out of this world, the controls are a bit disorienting and hard-to-grasp right now, everything's so polished and new and aside from David Hayter sounding like someone stabbed him in the throat the voicework is top-notch. I don't like to rag in David Hayter, his Snake voice has been incredible, but so far I can barely even make out Snake's voice over the gravel.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.I finally got used to the controls, and I can honestly say that I think Peace Walker is one of the most advanced and detailed Metal Gear games in the series. It took me a few missions, but I am loving it.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down. This is sad. This man has defined the industry and is just being...not even abused, just outright erased. It's disgusting. I'd say I'm not buying anymore Konami products but I DON'T buy anything Konami makes unless it's MG.
nyo ho ho
yeah don't use motioninjoy, it's shit.
