Should have gone into the shmup thread... Just saying. That said, considering what the original Saturn controllers looked like, that's a pretty cool feature for everyone with those 6-button arcade fighter controllers.

HELL AND YES. I have been waiting for this game for ages. I love Treasure, I loved Ikaruga (Even though I really suck at it) and I have a feeling I will love this. Also, I thought Ikaruga Mode was going to be trying to integrate the Colour System into the game (Not well, I assumed).

Will this game have a same feeling of sensory overload as Ikaruga? (CHANGE BLACK. CHANGE WHITE. CHANGE BLA-Aw Fuck I changed into the wrong colour)

If you want to play the Ikaruga mode, bad news: You need to get the XBLA port of Ikaruga if you haven't done so and get at least 1 achievement.

Which is kinda silly for those who already have Ika in some other format.

How many of you had played the first Final Fantasy Tactics or the PSP remake? Because the musical style sounded so similar between the two games, I'm thinking of doing BGM swap

So I caved and got the XBLA port despite it derping on a 4:3 screen.

Good fucking luck. This is honestly harder than Mushihime-sama on Ultra (True Final Boss notwithstanding).

I have been enjoying the game quite a bit. Okay, every playthough it tears my balls off, and I hate how there's no continues (Are there?), but I am slowly but surely getting adapted to the game. Except I still have difficulties with using the Radiant Sword properly.

Arcade gives you 3 continues, and I think more unlock with more playtime.

Story has none, but you can carry over weapon levels to a new playthrough.

I'm close to finishing off Story Mode (last run I had ended on XIGA, and that was sightreading the three Story Mode Exclusive bosses). I do have some advice for those looking to powerlevel in it: Don't use the Ikaruga score system, it SEVERELY decreases the amount of points possible from bosses. This combined with a lower chain point cap (25600 compared to the 100,000 of the original, a difference you're NOT going to make up) means you're not going to level up your weapons anywhere near as fast as on the Original score system.

At the rate I am going, story mode might take a while. I keep conserving my lives, then I either muck up a few times due to clumsiness, or fight a new boss that strips about 4 or 5 away (Fuck you DAN-564). I am DREADING the fight with The Penta or Ohtrigen
