One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderMost recently, the Persona 3 & 4 soundtracks.
I'd argue for Final Fantasy XII, personally.
-edit-
Oh, on my MP 3 player? FFX, FFX-2, FFXII, FFXIII, Dissidia, Dissidia Duodecim, Baten Kaitos, Disgaea 1, Disgaea 2, Disgaea 4 and Okami. Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep and 358/2 Days OST, too.
I gotta admit, I don't listen to all of them. I'm just too lazy to chop out bits I don't like... mainly because what I like depends at least partially on the mood I'm in.

Portal 2 has one of the best soundtracks I've heard in years. It's not released (that I know of) but someone ripped it from the game data files and you can download it. I fully intend to buy it if/when Valve releases it, though.
It's hard to say what my favorite tracks are but "In Charge of Everything", "Old Aperture", "The Part Where He Kills You", "Explode with Dignity", and "Stalemate Resolution Button" are all way up there.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I have three full OST albums on my MP 3 player, those being the ones to Beyond Good And Evil, The Neverhood, and Persona 4. Most of the other stuff I have is scattered stuff, but a few more "musicy" sounding things I can recommend are the Buck Bumble theme song, the various Professor Layton main themes, and that perennial favorite, "Wind's Nocturne" from Lunar some subtitle I forget.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI listen to the Street Fighter 3 Third Strike arranged soundtrack on my mp3 though that is about it.
The soundtracks to Half Life 1 and 2 (it probably helps that the first game seems to have some similarities to Die Hard), Crysis, Command And Conquer 4 and Dawn Of War. Maybe even Portal 2, actually.
The list gets a bit narrower if you want my favorites.

yeah, this thread is highly opinion based.
Also, on that subject, Touhou music tends to be rather good.
Um just about anything by Koji Kondo so that counts for most of the Mario games, but others not by him are good to such as the Super Mario Galaxy scores, which are fantastic in every way
Also Ocarina of Time has some good themes to
Luminous beings are we, not this crude matterPortal 2 does have a killer soundtrack, yes. Very well done.
I am also fond of the Homeworld soundtrack, and Fallout 2 has a good one, too. I was pleasantly surprised that they reused some tracks for New Vegas.
But yeah, opinions.
Happiness is zero-gee with a sinus cold.Okami/ Okamiden is pretty movie worthy as far as music goes.
Watch SymphogearElectivirus, I am sooooo jealous right now. You get the Pokemon OSTs and the third album by The Black Mages? D:
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadThe soundtrack to SpaceChem is somewhat short (8 full songs, 24 minutes long), but it contains concentrated amounts of awesome.
Shadow Of The Colossus has some of the best music I've ever heard in a game. world of goo is also great.

Seeing all these piss ant tropers trying to talk tough makes me laugh. If Matrix were here, he'd laugh too. There's also the soundtrack to Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit, which had pretty good Techno music for the 90's:

Give me cute or give me...something?Super Mario Galaxy's soundtrack could very well work as a film score.
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)Final Fantasy Tactics, Xenogears, Vagrant Story. The Square Holy Trinity as far as I am concerned. Uniformly brilliant soundtracks. Have some examples of the bliss.

That are comparable from ones from movies?
I liked to listen to video game music but most of them are all designed to be fitting in specific context and just listening to them alone can be really dull or irritating.
Then I stumbled into Modern Warfare 2 musics, composed by Hans Zimmer, and god dayum, I instantly downloaded some of the musics into my MP 3 player and listen the hell out of them.
Any VG music in your mp3 player?
