Thought I'd post a few pics of the 'adventures' of a Gunpla noob (aka yours truly tongue).

Also: random silliness with my GM Cardigan and 00 Qan[T]. [lol]

[up][up]Painted the yellow on the legs of the 7th I see. smile

[up]Kinda hard to find them here. I do have 2 kits from MC models though. (Xi gundam and the orange hi-nu)

I think the HGUC rezel com was one of my first modern HG, I like it a lot.

Gunpla expo and we are getting HG revive, another rx-78. [lol]

And uh all the other kits.

I am so getting the MC Xi Gundam. That's one of my favorite Gundams, after all.

And I'm already expecting that Bandai will somehow fuck it up like they did with the HGUC Hi-Nu (ONLY TWO WORKING FIN FUNNELS BANDAI WHAT DRUGS HAVE YOU BEEN INGESTING).

@Batter: I'm (slowly) working my way up from straight-builds back when as a kid, to light touch-ups now, to extensive touch-ups, to full-on painting. I'll get there...... eventually. tongue

Apologize for restarting this, and sorry if half-off-topic, but has anyone here assembled a 1/20 Scale Model ATM-09-GC Brutishdog, because which runner has it?

[up][up]http://dalong.net/review/etc/bt2/bt2_p.htm

It's by bandai. 4000 yen before shipping.

Haven't built one but you can see it's range of motion and how it looks out of the box from the review.

The ATV kits has tiny little rivet which you use a tiny little tool to put on. More pictures in the scopedog review: http://dalong.net/review/etc/bt1/bt1_p.htm

Performing Thread Necromancy to say I got myself a gunpla. A 1/144 scale Gundam Ground Type.

Here it is.

I wasn't the most perfect in assembling him. But I did better than expected.

I also got my brother into Gunpla thanks to that. He assisted me a bit and he notes it is fun.

So I was wondering how does one go about paneling or painting pieces? Is there a way to find the right shades of paint?

So how well did the HG Reconguista in G performed in sales? Eh, I probably won't get any answer from it.

Happy Easter all, hope your gunpla building is going better than me. I tried to make a Real Grade Zeta Gundam and I am very frustrated by it.

I can say that going into this I really liked the Zeta's transformation system as seen in the series with how eligantly the sleak waverider becomes the slightly bulky but still fast and powerful Zeta. This model has definately caused me to rethink this. It looks like the chest is hollow. Okay, I will admit that that makes sense with how the head retracts, but combined with the way the abdominal sections squeeze in and the skirt armor is part of its own thing I really don't think it has much strength.

On top of that, transforming it has been completely unsuccessful.

So I recently got my first gunpla, HG Graze Custom (Akihiro's). It was actually really fun putting it together...

Until I finished and noticed the stickers that I was supposed to put on.tongue

Oh coolio, I didn't know we had a gunpla thread.

I've only got one right now. A high grade Zaku II. I've got such a soft spot for Zakus. They're so cute.

Oh really when?

1/44 - Sazabi, Unicorn Full Armor (Unicorn Mode), Crossbone Gundam X01, Char Zaku

1/100 - Nu Gundam Ver Ka, Barbatos, Full Armor Unicorn.

Was just pointed in the direction of this thread by a friend.

I have a high grade Burning Gundam Try, and I'm planning on buying a high grade Turn A Gundam. I've run into one little snag though.

Does anyone have advice for painting? Whether it's better to use spray paint or brushes, how long to let it dry, how to dry it without messing up the paint, etc.
