It's been contracted out to some other company completely. And they aren't answering their phone or returning messages. Nobody knows when they plan to deliver — or even if they're still around.

Chances of anything being developed within the lifetime of this server that we can interact with in any meaningful way is negligible anyway.

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.

Got an awesome girlfriend waaaay back in the first installment. Currently playing through the second and keeping my long-distance relationship intact. Come the third game, I'm confident this will pay off big-time.

Okay, his is bullshit. I've been playing for around 177 507.709 hours now and the game still doesn't seem to be going anywhere. This is almost as bad as Final Fantasy XIII.

That's the problem with wide-open games like these, really. Unless you go find yourself a quest, all there is to do is grinding.

Anyone having trouble getting your character to work outside of work/school? My character seems to be stuck to the computer and I can't get them off. It totally messes with the recharge time, and they get a bunch of annoying "tired" detractors the next day.

Is this a glitch? Please tell me it's a glitch.

^Sounds like your character has the hidden trait "easily distracted," one of the many flaws they can develop. It's apparently possible to get them to overcome it, but not easy.

Try checking the unofficial wiki.

Huh. Well, beyond that, I think you just have to manually force your character to be more productive until it can get used to it.

The maintenance windows are a bit too frequent and long, if you ask me... I can't connect for anywhere from 6-10 hours every day. Is it just my server?

I like the local mobs, though. The Black Rat Snake has such personality to it...

Many a Missed Moment of Awesome, though. The mobs from the Pocket Monsters minigame would have been so cool in the overworld...

One of my big problems with this game is that the tutorial level lasts anywhere between 12-15 years, and there's a ton of level grinding involved. Not to mention no savestates.

No, that seems to be deliberate design — anti-poopsocking, is the general suspicion. But there is a workaround, sort of. When your regular server goes into downtime, find the one called "Dr3@m". It's always up. There's another one that's available during shutdown of the others, called "Ni5htm@r3", but don't use that one — it's really disturbing.

^That second server does have its uses: characters in the "horror writer" class get massive bonuses for using it regularly.

What bugs me most is the way when you open your backpack to sort out your equipment it doesn't pause automatically! Yeesh, that's design 101. Make sure you aren't on a roadway or in front of a lion when you do that.

I've been trying to port some of the contents of Ni5htm@r3 over to the main game, but it turns out that Nightmare Fuel isn't a forgable resource.

At least your character usually doesn't remember that stuff.

If only we players were so lucky... (shiver)

You do get the odd bit leaking across servers though.
