For the record, my parents aren't bigoted or anything, they're very accepting of whatever I am, it's just that...

• They don't think I can be 100% sure on this unless I "see a professional"
• They are afraid people will try to "take advantage"

they're probably just worried about you, and i can see why they don't want you coming out. even if i disagree on the professional matter, i think it would be best until they're at ease with it, too.

At least they aren't expressing shame or something like that.

I guess.... I still consider myself young, though. Like, I still kind of feel like and elder teenager.

For the record, my mom is friends with me on social media, which is how I wanted to publicly come out, so there would likely be repercussions if I did it.

Eh, I say we're all children at heart, to a degree. Though, I've also seen shit that has desensitized be to gore on a level, so eh to that too.

Not quite, Wolf. While I do agree that you don't have to verify being trans with a doctor is necessary for it to "be real", gender dysphoria is technically a disorder, which is treated by helping the individual transition.

However, people who are gender fluid rarely discuss it with doctors, as they won't be identifying as female/male 100% of the time.

They also claim that I "might be being swayed by someone else". T_T

I think it has something to do with the more transgendered thing; they want to make sure that you're 100% sure that you want to transition completely, for instances of both directions. This was explained to me by a genderfluid friend I have on Skype who came out as female months ago, even though she had a wife and daughter; considering her wife, Whom I'm also friends with, is pansexual, and was blushing upon hearing the news, there's going to be no difficulty there.

Haven't heard from either of them in months though, so I'm not sure what's been going on for them on that front.
