I was going to say No. Just... No, but after stopping myself, I realized this makes sense. Seth worked on the late Hanna-Barbara cartoons before making a name for himself, and it makes sense that he would hold one of the most popular Hanna-Barbara shows on a high pedestal. I'm not mad (maybe not yet), and await to see how this pans out.

This actually does make some sense. The Flintstones and Family Guy were both heavily inspired by The Honeymooners. As long as he doesn't do the same thing he's been doing lately (and has better animation), it could work.

As one of the few people on this forum who doesn't hate Mac Farlane's guts, I have no idea if I should be excited or terrified.

On one hand, this show is right up his alley.

On the other hand, now we have four shows by him with the exact same premise.

As long as it's not a Family Guy clone, it should be fine. He used to do work on shows like Johnny Bravo and such before he became a Family Guy cloning machine.

Provided this doesn't affect the quality of American Dad, I don't really care either way.

Still waiting for a Legion of Losers movie...

I swear, if he turns it into a prehistoric Family Guy HEADS ARE GONNA ROLL.

Well considering how many jokes on FG are basically "old cartoon spoofed Darker and Edgier", I suppose this was the natural conclusion.

I'm sure that Warner Bros. will have enough power not to let Mac Farlane use the Family Guy formula. Though he makes Fox money, Warner Bros. will probably be more hands-on with the production (also, they probably learned their lesson after letting Zack Snyder have too much control with Sucker Punch).

But what if Warner Bros. LIKES the Family Guy formula and winds up being produced by Seth's Fuzzy Door Productions and wind up making it into a Family Guy clone again?

These possibilities were basically responsible for why this took so long from them to grant Seth's approval to reboot the show.

I'll give Seth the benefit of the doubt and wait to see the final product.

Come on, take deep breaths. The sooner you accept mediocrity, the better you will able to accept lower expectations.
