Honestly, I miss the days (between 1999 - 2001) when Square was releasing new FF games every year. Sure, YMMV on most of those titles, but at least most people found something they liked.
Weren't FFIX, FFX, and FFXI all released within a short time frame of each other because they had different appeals? (FFIX for the nostalgic fans, FFX to continue the new horizons the series was exploring, and FFXI as a foray into more unconventional game play (a JRPG maker doing an MMO? Crazy!)
