You know, I agree with the idea behind voter ID, but the more I read about the bills, the more I realize it's the republicans just trying to keep out people who would vote for democrats. If they did at least a handful of the suggested amendments, it would be fine(especially the ones extending DMV times and making it clear the I Ds are free). As is I don;t like the execution.

And this is their tactic for winning the support of low-information (or restricted-information) voters. Do things that sound good either in soundbites or on paper, but aren't actually good in reality.
