Methinks you've never played it, I see.Actually, mang, I have the Wii version. I actually find it more fun to play than the Xbox version (going by the demo, anyway). It's no Sonic Generations, but it's still loads of fun.
Miles ahead of the 3DS Sonic Generations though.
Man, I wish I could play the console version of that game.
When will I stop whining about this? Anyway, this game is right up there with the greats. New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Donkey Kong Country Returns… this one probably comes out on top.
Responsible adultIt's been a good generation for sidescrolling fans.
We wish you a merry chistmasThe Treasure chase sequences are really hard, and for some reason, really really fun.

Responsible adultI don't know whether I consider 4 or 9 worse. 4 is a nasty sucker. I know people who've spent more time on that one than they did on Land of the Livid Dead. Thinking about this game in retrospect, I didn't like the Desert of Digeridoos as much when I first played the game, but I think of it a lot more fondly now. The level with the Swarm is one of my favorites in the game. I just think it's super-cool.
Darling. Is chest number 9 the water level? I honestly didn't find it that hard. (I beat it in fewer tries than the others)

Conceptually FrameworkedI've never updated my game. Tell me, did they ever get rid of the Jump>Kick Back>Hover>Repeat that lets you climb lone vertical surfaces?

Responsible adultNumber 9 has an underwater segment to it, yes. However, I think 4 and 5 also have water components to them. I think the chest I beat fastest was either 2 or 6. I was still unused to the game when I played 1, which is why it took me a while. I don't think I needed more than two tries to beat 2, though, and 6 flew by so fast I barely remember it.
Oh yeah, 6 was easy. It helps that that was the one I did second to last in my file.
Edea LeeFootage of a sequel to Rayman Origins, called Rayman Legends, just got leaked.

Special Blend #9Chest Number 9 is the Pirates Treasure one isn't it?
I drink 17 cups of coffee in court.
True King Of YggdrasilI completed all of the Tricky Treasure levels, it was painful but not as painful as The Land Of The Livid Dead. That was truly the hardest level in the game.

Humanity wants equality yet supremacy stands in the way. Destroy that and we can embrace equality.
Responsible adultCongrats! You may now join the hallowed halls of Those Who Have Seen Land of the Livid Dead and Lived(id) to Tell the Tale. So did this game cause anyone else to seek out the old Rayman 2D platformers for comparison? Since it's right there on the eShop (and since I never did beat it as a kid), I downloaded the first Rayman GBC game. It's almost weird how different Origins actually is from the original platformers. The GBC game, at least, is way slower-paced, the levels tend to be somewhat more mazelike, and the GBC game has the odd habit of having a lot of "hidden switches" where doing one random thing makes another thing happen. But it's still a good platformer... and the series as a whole still has fantastic, cartoonish graphics and great music.
The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
