I had a thought about making an over-the-top G1 MLP music video to counter the G4 ones, but I don't have an appropriate song. XD

In the past I'd considered making a G1 music video out of "The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny" to take advantage of the show's action and variety in one-off characters, but I don't think I have the patience to finish a good, full music video. Maybe I could help you make one.

Has anyone else ever made My Little Pony Sims? I have some in the Sims 3, and while they're mostly G4 characters, I have a few older ones too (Cherries Jubilee and Gingerbread from the G1 series, and Minty from G3). Minty just did something that would be like she would do in the show, since she's so clumsy, she burned the food and set the stove on fire!

I was listening to the G1 songs and later had both the "All Wrong" song Shady sings and "Look at Me" (Porcina's villain song) in my head (at different times, not the same time) and I noticed that the two songs are very similar to one another, not only in melody (I don't think the melodies are exactly the same, but they are very similar, enough for me to notice it), but also in the fact that both songs have more than one singer and the two singer parts (the Raptorians sing together so their part counts as one) express contradicting views and feelings from each other. They are also opposites when one considers the lyrics as well, almost like the two songs were intended to be foils of one another. In "Look At Me," it's about Porcina bragging about her beauty while the Raptorians insult her and talk about how they're plotting against her, while "All Wrong" has Shady berating herself for being useless while Molly tries to cheer her up.

I can't not like g3 because I grew up with it. (Not all of g3.) I find it interesting and frustrating that early g3 merchandise is still available in stores, but not the toys. I am grateful for g4, but g3 will always have a place in my heart. Like the commercials say, "You'll always be in my heart."

Oh that's right, G3 was also nice for bringing back the G1 theme song. All the G2 commercials I found used a different song, which I recognized as the background loop from a playthrough of the Friendship Gardens game. Here's the one other pre-Core-7 G3 commercial I found on Youtube, also from 2006, so it's still not showing off the pegasus ponies at all that I can see, but hey, original Rarity!
Well, lalalei 2001, my one other good idea for a G1 music video was to take all the silliest clips from My Little Pony Tales you could find and set them to "Dare To Be Stupid". It just might work!

As much as I'd love to move on from G4's pop-art design (Which honestly I don't think works too well in toy form) and see Megan again Hasbro has found their cash cow (especially with the bronies) and I don't think they'll give that up too soon.

The Flutter ponies from G1 show more fighting spirit, strength and wing power than the Wonderbolts.
Their attempts at heroics have, so far, been embarrassing. I hope the writers give the Wonderbolts a chance to show off, instead of flying around making clouds. I am disappointed that the Wonderbolts seem to be a group of flashy fliers with no purpose. I want an episode that shows how good they are praised to be. I don't care if they steal the spotlight from one of the main six, just give them something to do!
