As always, she looks as if she would love to just become invisible. Not that I don't frequently have this feeling while on my job, though for different reasons entirely than shyness...

Seeing that Gene and Samus had stepped outside the bridge to see what was happening on deck, Batou started looking over the various visible control panels. After a few moments, he remembered the ship's intercom

and decided to use that to try to find out what was going on. Everything alright out there? he radioed to the rest of the ship, hoping that somebody would notice one of the nearby panels and respond.

"I've been on a boat before. Does that count?" Obvious the boat Gne was talking about was going through a waterway so it was practically driving itself at the time. Good thing too, as he had to fight off a few thug and a really awful guitar player that could shoot purple lightning. Even though the group had about the collective sailing knowledge of a landlubber, this was at least a modern ship. The kind you just drive like a car, no sails involved. Anything else can be picked up over the rest of the curse.

When the question of what to do with the intoxicated Lee came up, Gene was about to suggest putting him into the dingy that the ship came with (which unknown to him was Travis' motorcycle) and tying it to the back of the ship until he sobered up and calmed down, when Lina took the incentive and decided to freeze the kid instead with some magic. That may not have been the best or the most humane method, but it was certainly the funniest. Beryl had given the bottle to Dante, and judging by his reaction it must have some real potent stuff.

A radio blared next to the God Hand, catching him off guard and almost jumping, but looking at it he realized it was some kind of two way intercom. Looking a little sheepish, Gene picked the mike up and to a second to figure out how it worked "Everything's fine here, Batou. The kid is cooling down right now."

"Oh yeah, sure." Raspberyl nodded, holding her hands out toward the block of ice encasing Lee. Using as little of her magic as possible so as not to cause Lee any undue harm, Raspberyl gradually began to thaw the shinobi out. It was slow, tedious work, but after a minute or two, Lee was back to normal, albeit quite a lot soggier than before.

"W-w-w-what happened? W-w-why am I wet and cold?" Lee asked, shivering and wet, but back to normal.

Lina put her hands on her hips and puffed out her chest (or lack thereof) proudly. "No need to thank me, it was really no trouble at all." She gazed around at all of them with an expression that said "but I wouldn't mind some praise in the form of a reward, anyways." To her surprise, the crew seemed more worried about Lee than impressed with her. A little chill never hurt anyone.

"I've never seen magic like that before," she commented to Beryl when Beryl began to thaw Lee out. "Interesting. Can you make it stronger? I would have just gotten him out with a well-adjusted flare arrow; break most of the ice right off." She didn't mention that this method ran a higher risk of leaving a painful albeit minor burn.

Renji stood on the front of the longboat, he felt the wind rush through his hair, which he has yet put in his signature'pineapple' hairstyle, and he felt, for the most part, peaceful. He wasn't sure what to make of most of the group, but he thought that he was making fast friends with Oswald, and a few other people on the longship,"It's a nice day out," he looked over at his shipmates, and noticed that Kyon was the only onecwho couldn't really defend himself,"Yo, Kyon, want to learn some Kendo?"

"You were drunk, Lee. At least I'm pretty sure you were. You tried to attack Mister 47, but Kirby and Lina stopped you before either of you could get hurt." Raspberyl answered, glancing around to see if there was something the shinobi could use to dry himself. "Could someone get Lee a towel? He looks pretty cold." she asked, glancing around at the others.

Once Lee had gotten his towel, Raspberyl turned toward the red-headed sorceress. While she seemed rather the impulsive type, the Delinquent thought she at least seemed like a basically good person. While she obviously hadn't had enough time to form a concrete opinion, Raspberyl was, for as intelligent as she might have been, a rather impressionable girl.

"I sure can. Fire magic's sort of my specialty." Raspberyl smiled proudly puffing out her equally-unimpressive chest

. "I'm still a student, though, so I've still got a lot to learn. How about you?" she added, quickly dialing back any smugness that might have crept into her voice and posture. She was quite proud of what her teachers all called her 'natural talent', but bragging wasn't exactly the best way to win friends. Then again, Lina didn't seem to mind doing plenty of that, so maybe she wouldn't mind.

"Oh, by the way, thanks for helping us get things under control again. That ice spell looks really useful." Raspberyl grinned, wanting to give credit where she felt it was most definitely due.

"Drunk?" Lee thought. " I remember something about being in a daze during that last fight, could it be...my medicine?"

"Excuse me, but has anyone seen a white bottle?" he asked aloud.

Unknown to our unawares heroes, the spy drone continued its vigil upon them, hiding within the folds of the sail between the brig and the longship.......

-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-

"Hm.....the Lin Kuei cyborg has fallen.....pity I do not have sensors installed in this drone to allow me to see the reason. Though most of that infernal rabbit's allies do not interest my, that blue pegagus might be an interesting one to dissect. And that woman's flight ability.....might be either a mutant, a psychi, or maybe even a Kryptonian! OOO, how I LOVE experimenting on Kryptonians, they are always so rare on Extremus! Though it does get tiresome trying to find the right materials that can pierce their skin before resorting to magically enchanted items and kryptonite...."

-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-

Deep under the surface of the ocean, the trio of ships passed over something that looked like a sea mine. However, instead of exploding it opened up, a blinking red light turning on.....

-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-

Beeping. The typing on a keyboard. Windows of text popped up across the screen. "So, Oswald and his little friends finally arrived in my territory, eh.....?" Evil chuckling, followed by the rubbing of hands. More typing, leading to maps and more text. "Damn it, none of my attack fleets are even close to the them. Will have to wait until they make shore on one of the islands! But no matter.....destroying them now would be FAR too easy.....and I WANT them to know who it is whom will be the one to kill all......" More evil chuckling.....

Oswald hit one of the birds, sending it crashing down into the deck of the longship. There it flailed around the occupants' legs, one wing broken by the cartoon rabbit's hit.

Jim didn't notice this, instead moving up to the front of the brig and looking across the ocean in the direction they were headed. "Hey, anyone have a telescope of some sort? Be good to get someone up there with one" Jim asked aloud as he turned around, then pointed up to the crows nest of the brig.

Guybrush pulled out a telescope from his pockets, "I have one."

"I'll do it," Rogue walked out of brig. "Seems like a flyer would be best up there, y'know?"

Rogue however had ulterior motive for being in the crow's nest. In the state that her clothes are in, she's at a much greater risk of hurting people she would touch. She had to be alone so that no one would be harmed by her.

"Doc might need to check on Sub-Zero just in case, though," Rogue said as she took the telescope and flew up into the crow's nest.

Minako was about to go out on deck and find out what was going on when Gene figured out how to work the intercom system and tell them that everything was okay. She smiled a bit and said "Thats good." She decided to stay in the Captain's Cabin for a couple of reasons. One reason was because then Batou would probably get really bored by himself. The other was so that she'd get to play around with the telescope

.

Minako turned to Batou and asked with a joking smirk "So, just how good are you at piloting a boat like this? I want to know if I should keep track of how many Life Jackets we have."

Thankfully, the situation with Lee was resolved very quickly. Although Samus was ready to stop Lina form using her attack, she did calm down a lot when she saw that the girl was true to her word, the spell was non-lethal at least. After Beryl had defrosted the boy, and Gene had informed Batou about the situation, she decided that it would be best for her to keep watch from out on the deck.

It didn't seem like she was needed right now, as everyone was just talking. She did do a double-take when she thought she had seen Aki jump down from the cabin. Thinking back to previous fights, the girl did show impressive strength for someone her age...She assumed that special training was the answer, it wasn't impossible as she herself had to train for years to improve her physical condition and was well beyond normal human capabilities when it was finally done. If that was the case...then what about those blades in her arms? Concealed weapons meant assassination, it didn't take a genius to figure that out. That was very much obvious, but why? Whatever the answer, it certainly wasn't Samus's place to bring up.

So, she walked off on her own and picked out a spot near the edge, keeping her eyes locked on the water for any sign of danger to their ship. She was still in a bitter mood, but that wasn't going to stop her from doing her self-proposed job.

Rainbow Dash had remained silent for most of the voyage, cringing a bit at the sight of the others attacking the seagulls. Due to the relatively peaceful nature of Equestria, she'd never really seen anything so... brutal, she supposed was the word. The pegasus snapped to attention as Oswald, rather loudly, pointed out the island ahead. "Finally." The pony muttered. "Something to do."

Lina grinned. "A fire specialist, eh? I'm a black magic expert, but I like to think I'm pretty good with a fireball. I was considered a bit of a prodigy back in my training days, too - now I'm famous we're I'm from, though. Maybe if you're lucky you'll earn yourself as much fame as me some day. Though I should warn you that sometimes it's hard to be graced with both beauty and power such as mine." The sorceress struck a melodramatic pose.

Rogue and Oswald would be the first to make some of the details out as the group's boats got closer. The island was cresent shaped, putting a natural bay that looked somewhat shallow in the center. Around that, a collection of wooden shacks built attached to each other seemed to double as the town's defensive wall and living space, stretching three stories tall around most of the edge. And small cannons on top of the wall of shacks provided extra defense.

A collection of boats were there too, mostly in the bay but a few moving around as well. Most were small, containing oars, sails, or a combination of the two. At least two ships rivaling the brig in size were also there, with multiple sails and assortments of cannons too.

"Hmm, I dunno... Think we should check it out?" Jim asked the group, looking towards the town.

At last, they were going back on dry land. While he had never been a sea person, Ithilrandir was not too happy to see this sort of dry land. They were supposed to be heading to a particular pillar of light, and they would not get there any sooner if they were to dally around on this island, even if it was populated.

It was then that the Noldor warlord first paid attention to that fine steed that apparently could talk. His eyes brightened up in a purely professional interest. Now that his horse was left behind... he would do well to find a replacement, and it was not every day that a good replacement would come into sight.

"Hey you," he called out to Rainbow Dash with as much condescension as would be expected from a Noldor noble when addressing the likes of animals.

"I happen to be in need of a warhorse, and you seem fine enough," he said. "Think you're up for it, little one?"

Batou nodded to himself when Gene radioed back about everything being fine. He started to say "Wait, who's cooling do-", but cut himself off when he saw Aki jump down from the roof of the bridge onto the deck below. Damn, she's pretty athletic. That fall didn't seem to slow her down any, he thought, watching her move out of sight behind the big gun. As he returned his gaze back to the various panels and displays, Minako asked him about his boating experience. Oh boy, here we go, he thought, grinning and then chuckling to himself.

"Actually, I went sailing a few times with my father years ago, but a boat like this? Never piloted one before," he said with a laugh. "Normally I'd tell you to go check on those life vests, since I'd probably need two or three myself to not sink like a rock

, but, well.... Call me crazy," he said, lifting his right arm up and looking over his hand, then clenching his fist, "but it almost feels like second nature to me right now. It probably has something to do with the curse, but I didn't have any trouble figuring out how to get this thing to work. If I were back home, I could just download all the software and information I'd need, but I'm not exactly in Japan anymore, now am I?" he finished saying with a smirk. Wonder what the others are up to, if something else came of that op we were on.... No use worrying now, though, they can handle themselves without me for a while.
