I would think it was Glitchmaster trying to trick Besty as well, but we've seen from previous showings that they still have that 8-bit quality to them when they're disguised.

I'd expect all the masters to be familiar enough with each other that neither Rosemaster nor Glitchmaster could fool any of the others with their magic. But possibly not.

Would Besty be familiar with them all though? From everything we're seeing it seems like he was an early childhood creation of Nightmare Knight's, so he might have been sealed away before any of the other Disaster Masters were created.

It looks like a former body of water that got drained by Cuco's spell. I'm sure he's used it for such purposes at least once (probably against Splashmaster?).
So I guess that means all the drains are actually connected to the same place on the other end, and they found their way to the wrong one. Cuco only bothered to plug the one he "sealed" Besty with.
