JAFAAC: I Am Not Shazam

Surely we can find a cover that says something like, "Shazam starring Captain Marvel?"

EDIT: "The Original Captain Marvel." I found cover #3 the least cheesy, but would the fact he obscures the word, "original" create any problems? Also, I found larger versions of the covers here: [http://www.coverbrowser.com/covers/shazam]]

Fixed the link...we'd need a lampshade to adequately cover this, I think.

For what it's worth, I found out cover #9 on those pages appears to refer to Captain Marvel by name and also as, "Shazam."

Any of those covers would work better than the image at the moment. I like #3 too

I think #3's as good as you're going to get. Among other things (as can be noticed in the cover gallery), DC really couldn't even lampshade the difference, at least not on covers, because for the most part they can't use "Captain Marvel" on covers, even as secondary text.

It's possible that there's a good interior art lampshading somewhere, but none comes immediately to mind.

EDIT: Hmm, actually, I did find this splash page◊, which spells it out pretty clearly!

What picture should we use?

I'd be fine with the last pic, graininess and all.

Do we need consensus?

It's been this long, I'd say put it up and see if anyone bitches...if not, we're good.
