WORKING!!

So, any ideas as to why they changed the name for the English release? Copyright? I can find a series called "Working", but I have no idea as to whether punctuation/capitalisation counts in copyright...

Mostly so they wouldn't have to deal with any potential copyright issues. NISA's a small company, so avoiding it is better.

It only affects the packaging anyway, so who cares?

Don't try to marathon it like I did. It's best enjoyed in small chunks of no more than 2 episodes a sitting.

Wait, is the anime or manga getting a western release?

Oh, who cares, they are both funny as heck. Except for the last three episodes of the first season. Those suffered greatly of Romantic Plot Tumor.

[up]

The anime was released by NISA under the name "WAGNARIA!!"

Just in case anybody still cares about this series: The subs for the first episode of the second season are up.

Nothing special. Just an introduction to the running gags, plus a few gags that they forgot about during the first season. Other then that, animation seems to have been bumbed up. Opening end ending song not yet seen, I believe.

Let's just hope it will be as good as the first season. Except those last three episodes. Those still suck.

Hahaha. Excellent stuff. By the way, who was that girl with the red glasses towards the end of the episode? I don't remember seeing her in the first season.

Who, Maya?

You must not have watched the last episode.

I did, but I must have forgotten about her, since she's so... normal.

I had a stupid grin on me the entire episode. This bodes well. Except for my cheeks.

Is it wrong I took much joy out of Inami being in the Corner of Woe ?

It was good, but tried too hard to jam in every running gag there was(and something about the new artstyle just bugs me). On the other hand, I love that glare of Maya's near the end.

The bit with Takanashi freaking out over the bug was gold ("But that would be like killing sempai!").

[up]It felt a bit weird for those that red the manga, though. Heck, this entire episode felt weird from that. They tried to use every early joke that they skipped over during the first run, making continuity rather wonky (and even using part of one joke twice).

Then again, What Continuity?

So, where exactly is the second season, anyway?

A preview of the first episode aired a month ago. The second episode airs in about a week.

The first episode was released one month(?) before the next as a sort of teaser. Search around, it shouldn't be hard to find (protip: Working'!!(with the apostrophe) or season 2).

[up]Wasn't it a full-length episode rather than a preview?

Yeah, it was nearly the full episode (without a proper OP & ED, though), sorry if I was unclear.

They did the same thing with the first season, by the way.

So as I sit here catching up with the first season, to my horror I realize that Takanashi is voiced by Maou. Okay, okay, he's had a ton of roles, but I just got done rereading it and the contrast between the two is rather sharp.

Inami is oddly prominent. I... assumed that Taneshima*

was supposed to be the main heroine, but she seems hardly more important than anyone else.

Yes. Yes, you're absolutely right. I made that mistake as well, but nooo, Inami had to hog the screentime trotting out tired violent antics (magic hand was sufficiently amusing, though). I hope to God the show remembers all that was done and wasted in the first season so we can finally move on to better things.
