Seriously. It now has the trope namer as an image but I didn't even realise it's there and it doesn't show or explain anything

Should best be an information screen. One that shows the creature, its super high defense and dodging, and the loads of rewards you get from it.

A stats screen like the one from the Monster Arena in Dragon Quest VIII would be the best (I cant find a pic though.)

It should be a Metal King Slime though to really show the stats.

I agree with DQZ and Raso, we need a full stat screen.

Well the Metal King slime in Dragon Quest VIII stats are:

HP: 20 / MP: 128 / Attack: 166 / Defense: 999 / Agility: 255 / 30,000 EXP

Chance of running over 75%.

Tips to kill it? Critical Hits ignore Defense.

I've never played DQ and those stats surely say a lot.

Well, it's got 999 for something (which generally means "maxed out" in computer speak).

Dragon Quest VIII has bestiary pages that describe the elusive monsters, though it's hard to find images of them.

No picture of a stat screen is going to make good image. It's always going to require too much interpretation.

You know, in this case, a caption actually would be just the same as a stat screen.

It's totally got to be drilbur, anyone whos played pokemon black or white would know. Those little guys, while they appear in all caves, they only show up about once, twice if ur lucky PER PLAYTHROGH... they are THE metal slimes of the RPG world

You do realize being an example does not make it a good image right?

^ ^^ Additionally, Metal Slime currently requires that the foe is able to flee from battle. Simply being an "elusive monster" (of which Drilbur, Emolga, and Audino, as well as the three Elemental Monkeys all qualify) isn't enough.

Last I checked, Metal Slimes were the Metal Slimes of the RPG world. Doesn't make them a good image.

Drilbur isn't that rare. It can't run away. And beating it is neither hard nor rewarding.

If anything, it's an example of Guide Dang It!, because if you know how, you can invoke them to appear as often as you want.

Not that anyone was really considering tossing its pic on there with a caption of 'totally an example, guys!' and calling it good.

I guess we could go with a pic of a Metal Slime or Metal King Slime appearing then a pic of them running away (the text always says" Metal Slime runs" ) repeat that 3 sorry 12 times then show the victory pose with "Metal King Slime defeated received 30,000 EXP Level Up!" in the text box. (or two levels.)

Dragon Quest s all do that just would have to find it.

Just how will we satisfy those four requirements visually?

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.

Personally, if the stats can be shown with a caption, it would take away from the quality of the picture by trying to find a stats screen.

How are these (taken from a DQ wiki and tweaked some)...the first is for the original Dragon Quest and the second is from DQ VIII.

Have arrows pointing to the speed, defense, and experience.

Caption: "Hard to kill, but so worth it."
