Okay, it's time to get this biblical fanfic show on the road... after I catch up with all this Gamescom news. >_>

I've been playing it for a while, and I love it. Its one of the games that reminds me why I love videogames. The fighting system, I feel, is slightly less, not worse, but less, than Devil may cry, which uses a similar system based on timing. The system works so well for it, and I don't regret buying it at all.

I get this theme of, I don't know, stability or unchanging from Enoch. He is the constant in the shifting landscape, capable of barely any more than what he started with. He is not someone who must change himself constantly to win. The rest of the world is full of shifting, of everything changing. Allegiencies, worlds, people, forms, attacks and such. In the Bible, he did not die. The lord merely Took him, without killing him. He is eternal and as such unchanging.

This was entirely stream of conscious, so its really not great for essays. I just hope I made sense. ^^;

Also, it reminds me of so many different games, but its so unique that I'm not going to forget it soon. It reminds me of Killer7, Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry, and Fallout. And its nothing like those. XP

Just a heads up; Xbox Live is having a weekly deal for this game at $2.99. I bought it and it's currently downloading. I only played the demo a long time ago, but it did look interesting and I'm interested in playing the whole thing.

I'd get it if my hard drive actually had enough room for it. The environments alone look worth checking the game out.

As much as I've been wanting to play this, it has always been in that unfortunate spot where I can never find a copy in my local game stores, but I'm not interested enough in the source material to warrant actively hunting the game down (see also; Nier and Persona 4 Arena).

Nevertheless, thanks to this sale, I can finally quench my thirst on this game, and I gotta say; I'm really looking forward to trying this one out.

I just got a PVR and was thinking of doing my first Let's Play of this game. Does that sound interesting to anyone?

Maybe this game will actually have time to breathe, instead of how El Shaddai ended up where utterly bizarre things kept happening without any explanation. I know the really odd world was part of the appeal of El Shaddai, but there's a difference between "This place is really weird" and "what was the whole Methuselah thing about?"

But it's a good think Kadokawa has this, instead of Ignition, since Ignition was...dysfunctional to say the least.

Currently in the process of being localized. It looks like a Shin Megami Tensei game, pretty much.
