Chisame would wonder why and HOW her mother set her up for a blind date, when the latter had passed away some 7 years ago. "So he has a 'wonderful personality' , right? Even if that's code for 'not handsome' so long as he isn't a stick in the mud then everything should be fine!"
Scenario: Your character has been offered the chance to learn four different skills of their choosing, however the twist is that all the trials and hard work will only happen through a training montage.
Comics are for kids? That's like saying art is for pretentious people.Cora: Hey, it's a chance to listen to some great music while she does it, right? And she could always use the chance to get better. Bring it on!
Ran: Sees the opportunity as merely a part of Nick's incessant needling for her to practice, and she's not going to bend to his nagging ways. She turns it down more out of pride than out of montagaphobia.
The next character is offered the chance to be fabulously wealthy beyond their wildest dreams, with absolutely no catches. They just get a giant fat sum of money immediately, no one gets hurt in the process, it's just theirs.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaMark Wess: I could just materialize money or anything... What's the point?
The next character discovers that the dream in which he gets naked in the middle of the class is not really a dream.
"You cannot judge a system if your judgement is determined by the system."Che: If he hypothetically went to school, would make a cutting remark about trying to start a revolution by wearing no clothes in the hot Cuban weather.
The character caught someone looking through their drawers/cupboard.
The road goes ever on. -TolkienCora: Well, that's disconcerting. If it's on Earth, it's problematic because they could find evidence of other universes in there. If it's on Suenya, it's probably worse, because they could be political enemies looking for dirt on her. Either way, this isn't going to stand. Cora is going to hunt them down. If she knows them, they're going to get a serious and disappointed talking-to. If they're strangers, hell hath no fury.
Ran: Her home is actually pretty well-protected, so unknown and unsavory persons looking through her stuff are unlikely. It's probably just one of her friends being too nosy. Since she's comfortable about them, she's OK with confronting them, and at the very least asking why they were doing rifling through her stuff. She may not raise her voice, but she can do it. Knowing her friends, they were probably just too distracted with schoolwork to ask to borrow her stapler.
The next character suddenly finds themselves in the middle of a discussion about religion, politics, and money.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaOwain: Three of his favourite subjects. He gets into those a number of times anyway - usually with adherents of other religions, rulers and merchants - so he's well in his element. Has his own opinions and is genuinely interested in what others think. If he disagrees, he generally has a sound argument to back his position and expects the others to have equally sound arguments to back theirs.
Your character has somehow become lost in a wilderness area with no clearly-defined paths, just a lot of easy to negotiate gaps between the trees.
Rose: Walks around for a few minutes before going 'duh' and using her magic to fly.
Your character discovers s/he's a literal Cosmic Plaything. How do they react?
People are mirrors. If you smile, a smile will be reflected.Ryan: "So that's why I'm set in all this thing, right?... Meh..."
Your character's best friend had been unknowingly helping the Big Bad this whole time.
HALOLA PEEPUHL!! HOWAYAAAAAAAAAA?!!Uly is far from surprised that Riley's been fooled by someone but astounded that there's a Big Bad.
Your character has had their most prized possession stolen by an antagonist and put up for sale on eBay.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerRyan would wonder if the guy knows the mermaid clock he just stole has the world's Big Bad in it...
Your character needs money no matter what...
HALOLA PEEPUHL!! HOWAYAAAAAAAAAA?!!Mr. Cliche: "Yeah I had that problem. I fought my nemesis the German Scientist Cliche and in exchange for letting him go I got his credit card. [[beat]] It has infinite cash on it."
Your character has ran into an alternate universe version of themselves.
It comes. The corrupter comes. Don't let it touch the tower lest all reality crumble.Heidi: Wooo, football!
Other Heidi: That foolish sport? Hair and make-up is where it's at!
Heidi: Make-Up?!
Other Heidi: Yep, you could use a makeover yourself; blue pigtails are soooo last year.
Heidi: Next thing I know, you're gonna tell me you listen to Justin Bieber, and read Twilight 24-7! ...Right?
Other Heidi: Yep!
Heidi: You win this round, foul beast...
Your Character is dressing up for Halloween. However, they have to keep it kid-friendly.

Just floating around...Cora: She's not the sort of person to wear a "Sexy X" type of costume anyway. So she decides to dress up in her Archmage finery and be a wizard.
Ran: So many video game characters to cosplay as... so little time! She'll probably go as female Mario since it's easy to do; just get some overalls and a red shirt.
The next character decides to read an incredibly creepy story, just before bedtime.

"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaRose: Compared to the things she's been through a creepy bedtime story is nothing. Being the Magical Girl Champion of a fairytale world takes nerves of steel.
Your Character must stall a sadistic Physical God - knowing s/he will be lucky to get a quick death from the villain - so others can prepare a can for it.
People are mirrors. If you smile, a smile will be reflected.Ryan can't quite "die" in the proper sense of word, as Sylocians are not known for their living capabilities. Also, he had been dreaming for over 5 millennia before the story. Also, he was specifically made to give a damn about everything.
Your character finds them-self in a Love Dodecahedron with at least a member of the evil guys into it.

HALOLA PEEPUHL!! HOWAYAAAAAAAAAA?!!Rose: Let me get this straight. Puca and I are considered practically married by the general population of the kingdom. But I also have Les Yay with Gretel. Gretel's little brother has a Precocious Crush on me and possibly (considering his idolization of) Puca. Brigg seems smitten with Gretel. Then there's the Fomorian King...Actually, let's not talk about him. I think I'd rather be an oblivious workaholic than deal with this mess.
Your character gets a day off work/saving the world/whatever. How do they spend it?

People are mirrors. If you smile, a smile will be reflected.Jane: Spends the day drawing up new plans for world-saving, though ends up drawing things just for the enjoyment of it.
J'tan: Walks around his home, proclaiming to anyone within earshot that he is bored.
Your character(s) find themselves in the receiving end of a Curb-stomp Battle with their greatest enemy. There's no sign of help coming and defeat is very likely. What do they do?

My name is darthnazgul and TV Tropes has ruined my life.Cora: Defiance, to the very last and the very end. Cora does not go down without a fight, no matter how stacked against her the odds are. In the past, it's gotten her into trouble when she fought against enemies she wasn't prepared to handle and got beaten to a pulp. Now that she has more skill, she can at the very least attempt to take them with her.
Ran: Cowering, possibly surrender. Ran has a noble heart and wants to be a hero, but she's a very emotional person who sometimes feels overwhelmed and doesn't know how to deal with that overwhelmed feeling. If she were panicked and in pain, she may simply submit to that feeling. But deep down, she hopes that by her surrender, her friends would survive.
The next character really wants or needs a Thing, but that Thing out of their budget range right now. What do they do to make extra money?
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaP: Its rare that he wants Things, nonetheless needs them, so it would have to be important. Then there's the fact that he's rarely handled money, so he wouldn't think in terms of money in the first place. He might try finding a way to fashion the Thing, or dig one out of the trash and repair it. If that doesn't work, he'd try bartering/subtly badgering the store clerk, or whoever is in charge, until he somehow gets his way. If he couldn't get around the money issue, he might try babysitting, or some other mundane way of getting under-the-table money, but it would be hard to get people to trust him and he's wary of people in general. He'd force it to work if he had to, though.
The next character finds a book in a farmer's field with dangerous — even illegal — information in it. Something that could get them in loads of trouble if someone found them with it. What would they do?
Nemo enim fere saltat sobrius, nisi forte insanit Deviantart.Aragaki Hato: "...Nope, I didn't see anything at all. I definitely did not find a book in a farmer's field with dangerous information in it." and then he burns it.
The next character found out that it was All Just a Dream, and everything that happened to him/her so far never happened.(Friends, foes, events, tragedies, etc never occurred in his story.

"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueChaki: Whould dance and cheer that his father would think he's gone mad. Then he's be sad for the few good things mixed with all the bad.
Your character finds themselves transported to another world, a world where monsters rule.
7 friends, a robot, and a spirit, will find a way to protect us...if it kills them.Mitsuru would be on a killing spree. 'nuff said.
Dakota, being a monster herself, would feel comfy.
Ryan is a robot mad for survival and not give a damn. He'll just survive and not give a damn.
Your character finds out the Big Bad they had been battling all along was their strangled parent. To boot, the Big Bad finds it out in that moment too.
HALOLA PEEPUHL!! HOWAYAAAAAAAAAA?!!Saraq isnt suprised, since his father IS Satan, after all.
Situation: Your character is being sued for collateral damage while saving the day.
edited 26th Sep '12 11:26:28 PM by LinkandSheik
Lennik: Happens to him all the time. Since he usually only saves the day if there's something in it for him, like gold, he'll be guarding his reward money with his life. He'll also argue that the lives he saved far outweigh any property damages. If that doesn't convince the law to leave him alone, he'll get the hell out of there. Even though he hates running away.
Takon: Since he's a law-abiding, honorable knight who tries to avoid this sort of recklessness in battle, a lawsuit of this nature would really strike a blow to his self-image.
Your character is eating lunch when a monster attacks the village he/she is in.
Male
Naruto: Wonder how that's possible considering he's just an elemental spirit animating ordinary water and therefore has no genitalia with which to sire a child onto anyone.
Female Bahiri: Ruthless and psychotic crazy woman that she is, she aborts the child and goes about her business.
Scenario: Your character's mother sets your character up on a blind date. Said character doesn't know what said date looks like but is assured that said date "has a wonderful personality".
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!
