Character Development Thread--Discussion

Millership: Well, my character crashed his ship about a mile outside the city and it didn't cause any huge waves, sooo...

Also, I pulled up my notes on Whistler being a Five-Man Band with a Sixth Ranger:

• Ed is a male, one of the three pilots, and the oldest single member of the pack. He's distrustful and cautious to the point of mild paranoia. He's the one wearing the neckband, and he is The Leader.
• Di is a male. He's mischievous and reckless, playful, inventive, creative, and affectionate. Much of Whistler's sense of humor comes from Di, but it's largely drowned out by how serious the rest of him tends to be.
• Ra is a male. He has a strong sense of morality and conviction. He doesn't contribute much to Whistler's personality or cognitive abilities. He is the bulkiest and strongest member of the pack, though: He's The Big Guy.
• St is a female. She's prone to heightened emotion and aggression, but also makes fast decisions under stress. She's a variant on The Chick.
• Fi is another female, and another pilot. Has a strong sense of spatial intelligence, good with math, and is the primary speech center of Whistler's "brain". She's also the geek in his personality, being The Smart Guy.
• Nar is a male, and the third pilot. Shares many skills with Fi, and largely duplicates her role as The Smart Guy, but is not as well-integrated with the pack, since he is the newest member. He's the Sixth Ranger.

As for the other question, selling slaves is not going to be legal anywhere in the city, but there's a bad part of town where illegal transactions are a thing.

Sorry for not responding yet (again), Sonzai; I'm unsure what to post as Seon and I'm not sure I just want to skip him from now. I'll post something for Trekesser before I go to bed if nothing comes to mind.

@Tro Partner: She asked Kyana, but Lara is free to answer as well. Edit: Nevermind.

I think Lara already gave her name after Moreena helped her up outside the arena. Lara is 16, so she's about Kyana's age.

I totally forgot I do have a fun fact about Kyana that I haven't mentioned at all in the rp. Kyana isn't her real name. Her full name is Kyatana, she just prefers to be called Kyana for short which is why she introduces herself that way.

Also I'm thinking of adding in yet another character to the rp and a friend of mine might join as well maybe with a character to go with her. Even if he doesn't I think it will be fun to put her in because I haven't developed her much at all unlike the others I put in here.

Basic idea for her is she's an android (or something like it) with the ability to wirelessly hack into computer systems or other electronics and can communicate in a telepathic matter to other androids or what not (think Ghost in the Shell communication). In fact I'm using a lot of Ghost in the Shell ideas for her, her body will be like the Major's where she looks very much human except has an odd eye color and cybernetic abilities. I can't remember if they eat or do other human things but if they do, she does as well. She was created for only one purpose, to steal information from enemies of the people who made her and mess up their systems.

My thoughts for her coming to Capital is she is on the run from these enemies who are out to capture her so they can reprogram her to do their bidding.

Frankly, I was kinda disappointed when you changed your mind about the thief character. I was looking forward to the shenanigans if she made off with Lara's bracelets.

But yeah, a cyborg sounds interesting, but you think you can handle five characters?

I was confused about having five characters and then I remembered Xia. XD I'm thinking of taking Xia out and could replace her with someone else. That would still leave me at five but I think I can handle it. So long as I keep track of where they all are. >.>

Omg, I totally didn't think about that with my thief character. lol The reason I left her out was because I wasn't entirely sure what I would do with her, but that could be fun. I might throw her in instead of my cyborg girl and instead put her in Resort. I had that in mind anyway and my friend was primarily thinking of joining Resort with his character as well.

Edit: Actually it shouldn't be too bad, my three girls stay together pretty much the whole time.

Personally, I think having more than three characters in at the same time is a bit excessive, but if you think you can handle it, go for it.

Sorry for the post being so short, Tro. Also, I realized I'm waiting on Gault. Where have they been lately?

Gault says he's working on a post.

He also says he doesn't intend to post in Fair again, so unless Strix still wants to do an epilogue for their characters, I guess we can finally consider it over.

Fun fact: All my characters are nerds.

On a serious note, I shall post now.

Feeling rather ill today, so it's slowing me down. Will get around to proper posts as I manage the energy to do so.

So, in terms of cursing, I've tried to keep it PG-13. But is there a rule against a character having a Precision F-Strike?

That said, my next post will take awhile to make.

Is it safe to do posthumous thoughts on Fair? Because I have a few.

As I said, unless Strix is going to post again, Fair is over. I'm not going to bother formally writing my characters out if Gault isn't.

I'm thinking of some thoughts on it myself, in fact.
