That reminds me. My friend is headed back into town tomorrow, and me, him and another friend were going to do some hanging out and go see the Hobbit or something. Unfortunately, my laptop remains a cripple and I won't be getting a replacement until next week, so my posting is going to be affected. Might be able to borrow his laptop though.
edit: also, probably not going to get a post in tonight. I've been managing a pretty reasonable sleep schedule that results in me waking up at 7 and not suffering from periodic waves of tiredness for the rest of the day, and I'd like to maintain that for as long as I can.

the color todayOkay, I've posted again, and the bomb has been dealt with and Shark has been disposed of in a really bizarre manner, because weird shit should probably be a natural consequence of distracting a Cloud Cuckoolander who's attempting to transmute a bomb.
By now, it should be clear to all except the most dense of us that sheep are secretly conspiring to kill us all and steal our pants.Well, nrjxll's last post was really a prompt for Selina, so I'll wait on Ejra. But I will post for Somlan and Emmesin tonight. I have a night free, so I have no excuses. :p
Okay, so with Genkon dropping out next time I post, I'm going to introduce another character in Fair, and I want to check what's available. By my count, the currently active but idle stalls are Martian Dynamics, Nhesvrasila Inc, and the Youkai Showcase, and the currently active but idle characters are Lyra and Joseph.
Am I missing anything, and am I right that everything on this list is available for a new character to arrive by?

You're not missing something, although given the bomb thing and security's reaction it's probable the Martian Dynamics stall is looking a little less hospitable.
Nous restons ici.I meant to post today since I didn't yesterday, but something came up and right now I'm too pissed to do much of anything. I don't know when I'll be calm enough to post.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!I can do something with that, actually. Can you do a post for the current state of the stall so I know what I'm working with?
Waiting for daird in Halloween, BTW.
Posted for Somlan and Emmesin.
Are there still people in the West Wing?
I'd guess they're still waiting on Sibuna.
Anyway, that's the absolute last post I'm going to do for Rey until Gault or CG has a chance to post. Kind of an interesting experience writing two characters having more or less the same reaction in two different threads like that. Helps with voice.
Can confirm to be waiting on Sibuna.
"SAID CLOUD TO THE CARTOON PONIES AND UNICORNS WITH PICTURES OF FLOWERS ON THEIR ASSES. A DURR HURR HURR." ~Game SpazzerOn another note, I've been thinking about cutting the duration of Halloween to a much shorter length, and I wanted to get feedback on it. The thread was originally intended to last until sunrise (7 AM) on November 1st in-universe, which would equate to about roughly 900 posts. However, it occurs to me that, especially with the idea that the spookiness will peak around midnight, that's a lot of falling action where some of the characters might just go to sleep. So my new idea is to instead begin winding down the thread at about an hour after midnight, and have the next three hours (I'm planning to advance the time to 10 PM the next time I get to post as Krajn) take place longer out of universe, meaning that the thread will instead last around 700 posts. At the current rate of posting, that's still probably not going to be before the end of January at the earliest.
What do people think? I certainly don't plan on doing this if the participants are against it.

Will be posting early tomorrow for Fair.
Nous restons ici.Got a bit of time to post before bed. Sorry about the speed, but it'll only be for another day or two. I might be able to edge in another post earlier tomorrow, depending on how things go.
the color today,Either of you mind giving feedback on my previous post?
Suits me fine.
If I knew how I know everything I know, I'd only be able to know half as much because my brain would be clogged up with where I know it fromI'm typically in favor of letting these things happen naturally, but at the current rate of posting, I honestly don't mind.
the color today@Masterofchaos: Moreena, Recon, Warren and Dakota are all still in the West Wing. We're currently waiting for Warren and Dakota (Sibuna) to react to Moreena's book translation and Recon's sudden bloodlust.
Still a great "screw depression" song even after seven years.Im finishing up finals today, so I'll be able to post later today.
I keep worrying about adding spooky stuff or doing something creepy with the workers, like revealing they're lizard men in disguise or something.
About the time rate, I'm ok with it.

Life is hard, that's why no one survives.I confess I still don't see the point of a "timed" thread. This is a discussion that's come up before, that the CD Ts have some kind of natural or ideal length, and while that may be true, aside from people feeling the "truthiness" of their positions on what that length is I've not seen much of an argument for it.
So, by all means, go ahead. I simply don't understand the point.
Nous restons ici.I'm with this. All of the (admittedly less structured, and with a smaller player base—generally between 3 and 6 people) roleplays I've been in have been more of a collaborative storytelling exercise, with little regard given to the passage of time except as relevant to the story. Sometimes we'd spend three pages and a week of real time on an hour of In-Universe action, other times we'd pass a year in the space of a couple of posts. The passage of time served the narrative, not the other way around.
But that's just my two cents. I realize that having so many people makes it harder to just turn the clock all willy-nilly, but even so, I feel like we don't need to have an actual structured rule about time passing at a minute-per-post or something.

Halloween is specifically meant to take place over a certain span of time, with the time in-thread actually being relevant to what's going on (or at least that's the way how it was intended). So having a structure of some sort helps with that. Plus, the last time I tried to advance time in a thread in a way that just "felt right" to me, people complained about getting left behind.
@electronic-tragedy: The workers are supposed to just be normal people - their appearance is mainly a way of reminding the characters that they're at what's supposed to be a party. But more spooky stuff is encouraged.
Two cents, two cents.

Waiting for daird in the ballroom and Gault or Glacia in the hotel.
Not sure whether I'll post again in Halloween tonight. I realize that two sections are waiting on people who probably won't post tonight, but I don't really want to turn it into the nrjxll and Ryuhza show either.
Then again, it's not like anyone else is with Ozzy and Krajn right now.
