Are there any that exist? If there can be male lolis(shota), then... well...

...like "Honey(shudders...)" from Ouran High School Host Club?

Yep, I'm still here.

Bridget.

If you're willing to take an American example, Nermal.

Ciel, Czeslaw, (if you don't hate him) Rolo, Mikado, Tsuna and Enma, Hanatarou, Nitori, most of the Axis Powers Hetalia cast could probably be cast in this way...?

Not sure if all of those people count, and I've probably confused "woobie" and "shota" with "moeblob" in a few of those cases.

Czeslaw is a moeblob? Hardly! He has his moments of moe, but he can be fucking vicious. I think Jacuzzi is a much better example.

Any Cute Shotaro Boy really (the way the trope is described on the page not how it's constantly misused) is this. Early Negi being a huge example who is even mobbed by schoolgirls in universe.

Moeblobs don't have much of a purpose beyond being moe.

If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.

Friiiiiiiiiiiick, I can't believe I forgot Jacuzzi....

I'm a failure as a Baccano fan. sad

But yeah, Jacuzzi probably does match this better.

There's also Mikado Ryugamine, thought he might be exempt in later books on account of being abso-fucking-lutely off his nut.

Negi is kind of a moeblob, yeah. Not so much lately with the whole age changing pills and being busy with blood magic stuff but normally, yes.

"moeblob" is just a term people use so they can disparage a character without putting any thought into it.

It is really just a pejorative term for Moe.

Quite a few Moe Males drive the plot of their shows and are not useless.

I think the main difference between male moe characters and (normally female) "moeblobs" is that the male characters are more likely to have other facets of characterisation as well as being moe woobies.

Looking at the lists here, there's a few that are also badasses, good fighters, Ciel's also ruthless with a demon on a leash, some Yanderes...

Like someone said, they are more likely to actively drive plot rather than just sit around being moe.

[up][up][up] In that sense I see no reason to not just call them moe rather than moeblob.

Holy crap, generalization much?

Thats completely untrue, pretty much any character who's deemed a "moeblob", also has other facets to their characterization.

The classic example, of course, being the character who may have been the first to be smeared with the perjorative in question, Asahina Mikuru.

Vivi from Final Fantasy IX is pretty moe. He even does the Dojikko thing a lot.

Vivi I don't think counts too much as "male" since he is an artificial construct and their "race" is a One-Gender Race and he talks with a female type voice in Kingdom Hearts.

He does do a good job of it though.

I could totally imagine someone finding Mariya moe.

Personally, I definitely don't, but its not outside the bounds of imagination.

Remember, "moe" is an Audience Reaction, not some inherent trait in a character.

Now, there are certain combinations of traits that have been shown to induce moe in a large segment of the viewing audience, but its hardly universal.
