The story is good no doubt but not the best ever. The thing that really makes Lo K stand out is a combination of the superb acting and the fantastic writing. All the characters, all the dialogue, it's all just amazing.

Huh, you're right. To be fair though, the last time someone posted in that topic was February, so I hadn't noticed it (even though I posted in it)

If I had to pick a top three, it'd definitely be Deus Ex, Max Payne 2, and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. They're just beautifully written games, whether it's the cyberpunk conspiracy ethos of Deus Ex, the haunting metaphors of Max Payne 2, or the mix of political/societal intrigue and darker than dark humour that Bloodlines has. Really, if I had to pick an example of the best writing in games, one of those three would be it, no question.
