Plus, Zii would be a really dumb name for anything.
This webcomic will try to disagree with you =)

On-topic: I'm looking forward to this, being a Wii owner. I just hope the upgrade won't be insanely expensive =)

Being a Wii owner, I'm looking forward to some Rpg's I actually want to/can play.

No Sequels with gimmicks I don't care about, no games with poor voice acting,, and most importantly, games that actually have a chance to get ported over.

The third party thing would be great as well. If they can do that, I'll be happy.

Plus Zelda. Gotta have Zelda.

^ Just import it, it's not that hard to circumvent the Wii's region lock...

EDIT: Okay, so it's apparently harder than it was a couple of years ago, but still.

Amen to that. It's like the genre is nonexistant on the Wii and that is reason enough for major sadzors considering Nintendo's past track record on that.

With the exception of the first point...what do poor V As, and games getting ported over have anything to do with Wii no being HD?

All of those are just really really incompetent business decisions.

Project Cafe.

How much is true? Who knows. I like the codename, though.

Project Cafe sounds like a sufficiently lame name, which means it'll be the opposite of the Wii, it'll be released with an awesome name!

Also, they or someone else will now open a cafe dedicated to this new console.

Beyond that, can't say I have anything to add until more concrete information comes in.

The thing about making witty signature lines is that it first needs to actually be witty.

Would be cool if Nintendo keeps back-compatability going on this

IGN's sources claim it will be Wii compatible, but that may or may not include Gamecube as well.

That's what Wii-ware is for. Most of their N64 games are there, so why not Gamecube games as well.

Plus being compatible with Wii and Gamecube might cost alot.

what do poor V As, and games getting ported over have anything to do with Wii no being HD?

Not that much when I think about it, but if the Wii had been HD from the beginning, maybe there would have been more third party support, and then we would have had more choices in Rpgs then the games I mentioned.

Although I admit that's a flimsy justification.

This is the beauty of handheld consoles. Thanks to companies like Atlus, I have a long list of JRP Gs to play.

STREAM? Seriously?

Wii then Stream?

What is Nintendo saying?

I think they're saying, "Let's see how far we can go before people get too embarrassed to buy the console."

[lol]

Atleast it's not gold or yellow colored.

But it looks like a fragile console. Nintendo better release a protective jacket that looks suspiciously like a pair of panties to go with the Wii Stream.

[up][up] Do you hear "Play Station" and think of a hobo going to the bathroom in his pants?

[up]I find it odd that you think of that with the word "stream". :/

Ignoring that people without dirty minds would be more likely to think of something like this... Why a hobo? And why in his pants?

EDIT: Or maybe you're referring to the hobo thing with the term "Playstation", but my point remains. In fact in that case it's completely unrelated.

[up][up] No. And if you hear Wii and think that, you've either got your mind in the wrong place, or your mind in the right place but happen to be British.

Uh huh. Sure. Wii Stream. No one thinks of peeing. Sure.

(Remembering when Yahtzee laughed about how Nintendo called their system the Wii and fanboys tried their best to say it with a straight face.)

^o-o Yeaaaaaaaaaaah, you are first one to think of that =P Or is streaming a slang somewhere? And I guess you could think of sexbox(I think it as Yesbox if I'm bored =P) and associated play in playstation with "playing".
