Runic has begun revealing info bit by bit about the game.

For starters, a monster sampling.

I still have to pick up the first one, but yeah, this is definitely something I'm looking forward to.

Awesome, I really enjoyed the first Torchlight. Anyone have an ETA on the release?

Website has been updated recently, mostly showing off in-game models of the classes in both genders, plus art for weapons. New screenshots too, I'm guessing.

Still no word on a release date though.

EDIT: Forgot to put website in.

I'm thinking I'll be playing the Outlander.

Embermage for me. That tracking-ember-column ability is pure sex in destructive, high-energy form.

Someone at Runic Games Fansite got photos of the skill trees.

In a week or so, my Embermage will be sending homing laser beams and pillars of ice at baddies' faces, while teleporting around and being a highly-visible ninja! And occasionally cloning herself.

Wait, we have a release date now? Finally! Been waiting since summer started to get my hands on this one. I loved the first one, and I cannot wait to play this one as well. Probably going to go with Engineer to start off with.

I guess we could go... wherever we please.

I've already paid for Borderlands 2, and my friend is giving me Torchlight 2.

Sorted!

Just took it out for a spin, after months of waiting via preorder. I'm really liking what I've played so far, and going as the engineer in my first playthrough.

I too am playing Engineer and having a blast with it. Seems like all of my little gripes with the first game have been taken care of and now I can run around with a literal hand-cannon. So yes, this game is awesome. I'd love to try online, but the account-creation thing seems to have exploded from stress.

I guess we could go... wherever we please.

Sad to say that we may have another GW 2 in the making. Forums are picking up quite a few complaint threads, though I think that could just be because the people who knew what to expect are busy playing.

The game is everything that Runic promised it would be but there were so many people wanting things that Runic didn't promise. I'll take solace in the fact that someone will eventually GUTS (i.e. Torch ED 2) up a Diablo II HD for the people who fell for their own overhype.

The account creation server was offline this morning when I tried to create an account, but I did play around with the character creation tool.

Only four hairstyles for my Embermage? I was hoping one of them would at least have long hair like the iconic embermage on their website.

I've just started playing the first Torchlight after buying the newest Humble Bundle, and it's addicting as hell.

I'll definitely be getting Torchlight II sometime in the near future.

I don't really play games immediately once it's released. LOL

Even with Diablo III it was almost June when I got it (through a giveaway).

I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.

I got the immediately because I liked the original and the listed minimum requirements on Steam were all things my computer has already.

My computer froze a few seconds into the cinematic which plays after you make a character. :/

It's a poor man's Diablo III.

But only because it's cheaper. The game is actually great.

Okay, I've finally got myself an account. If anyone wants to play with me, just add Phoenixor. I'm a level 12 Engineer right now.
