I forgot to add my thoughts on the news. I never particularly cared for how classic Sonic looked in 3D and these trailers don't convince me otherwise. I prefer him when he's hand drawn.

Generally I prefer post Adventure Sonic, but I miss the over the top, kind of silly punkishness that was an aspect of the two Adventure game's art. After Adventure he's too plain, and neutral.

Forgot about that, that game's hilarious, musical, and scenic. Not to mention fun!

And no, I haven't finished it yet but I did spoil the ending.

I, too, prefer the modern Sonic look. But I am not hating old Sonic in 3D at all.

It's Sonic. As long as it controls good (I'm looking at you Secret Rings) and is fun (I'm looking at you Sonic 2006) I don't really care what characters it has because I'm not an insane member of their divided fanbase.

I like "modern" Sonic, and see no problems with his designs, but I also love seeing the old reimagined by the capabilities of the new, so I can't say I didn't grin when I saw old-Sonic in 3D.

Still, this does look kind of like an attempt to cater to fans' complaints. Not that I'm complaining. If it helps them continue making good games after Colors, they're free to make 'em for whatever reasons they want.

I see it as an aniversary thing. "Our favorite hedgehog is 20 years old, so let's revisit the past"-type thing.

At this point, I'm just curious as to what gameplay style they plan to use for this game.

^ Hopefully it's a platformer. I would hate it if it were an RTS.

I prefer Sonic's current design and always have, as well.
