Eh, I doubt anything good would come of restricting their creative freedom. Better to just let them make what they want, and trust it will be good. Better to have a good....whatever the hell this is than a bad Half Life 2 Episode 3.

I hate cliff-hangers is the trick. I've had to live with one for ten years thanks to freaking Mega Man Legends 3 not coming out till later this year. I'd hate for Half Life 2 to go down the same road.

Perhaps Half Life 3 will take the players further into the multiple dimension aspect of the series? I mean, you have literally infinite possibilites there. 
All Valve I Ps fit in the framework a single multidimensional universe.

Sorry, I meant episode 3. My brain considers them seperate games that have a single storyline.
Speaking of which, I'd l;ike to request that Episode 3 be taken off the development hell thing, simply because development hasn't started. You can't be stuck in development iof you never entered it to begin with.

- EA releases a new Need For Speed game each year.
- Activision promised more Call Of Duty games (or something along those lines) and killed Guitar Hero.
- Valve also has Portal 2 and DOTA 2 as well as Episode 3 and possibly Counter Strike 2 on the horizon as well.
