I'll have to take a look, but my first impression from the description is that this is either A) a Flash-based early Alpha released by the same studio, as is the case with Meat Boy / Super Meat Boy, or B) a fan-made rip in Flash form, similar to "2D Portal".
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.Welp. Beat the game. A small problem though.
I had no idea what I was doing. Then again, this wouldn't be the first game where this happened.
It was nice of the game to preview where the perspective change places you. However, I think it would be better if they limited the perspective changes to the four available ones. Although I personally just stumbled through like a drunk cow, I'm pretty sure those doing no death runs or speed runs would realise the true potential of the gaem...or something.
My head hurts though.
...Let us in...It's such a simple game: no plot, fancy graphics, multiplayer, or big budget, and happens to be awfully cutsey to boot. Yet somehow it's more innovative and addictive than most platformers I've played, and the music is very catchy.
This game is proof that you don't need large development teams or vigourous playtesting to succeed in making a fun game.

This game reminds me a lot of Super Paper Mario. This isn't a bad thing.
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.
Remember Fez?
Well, Sky Island is basically the same thing, only it has actually been released. (sorry, cheap shot.) It's impressive stuff.
