Really? I kinda like him. Granted, there are a few things that could be ironed out, but he just chews so much scenery and acts so goofy that I have to like him.

I just hope he either jumps right into being an actual Mad Scientist or stops bragging about his melted bananas, because his treatment of his "work" is the one thing about him that does annoy me.

As for not understanding, well, the episode was pretty obtuse, and the previous poster drew on some information not explicitly provided in the episode to explain what was going on.

For a debut episode, that felt pretty dry and lifeless. Only slightly intriguing from the outset. This one will need to stew for a little while...

Makise Kurisu continues to be total sex. Love the pantyhose under her shorts, and she talks dirty, dirty String Theory.

The other girls look pretty interesting. Especially the hyperactive Tamura Yukari character, and the very obviously Momoi Halko cat-eared maid waitress.

The whole "But he's a guy" thing was hilarious. Also, Moeka: HHHHNNNNNNNGGGGGGG

Houoin's Evil Laugh is the greatest thing in existence. He is what every 8 year old with a chemistry set dreamed of being.

While I generally dislike gratuitous comparisons to silly internet video reviewer people, I keep imagining Okarin with Spiral Glasses

So, is this series worth watching?

So far, I'd say yes.

There's only two episodes so far, try it for yourself.

It has corn. Special Intelligence Corn.

So yes, watch it.

I still hate all the characters (except maybe Makise), but it might be worth figuring out exactly what's going on. Or not.

Sadly, most of them are not actually insane, they're just being deliberately weird. As someone who both was and hung out with deliberately weird people, I can say that it's mostly just annoying.

On the other hand, the show seems to be using the multiverse theory.

I still hate Mayuri and Daru (although the former is hard to hate when we hardly see her doing anything meaningful), but I must admit Daru has his place.

Thats so weird, I mean, you hate her...except when she's doing something you arbitrarily declare "meaningful"? How does that work? How do you even know?

Mayuri is absolutely adorable.

What I mean is it's hard to hate someone when it hardly feels like they're there. She just seems like background in every scene she's in.

Again, isn't it astoundingly early to be making that assertion? She's obviously there for a reason.

Hell, Feyris is incredibly prominent in the OP, but she's done nothing but "Nyaa!" a bit so far!

...I...but...WTF?! Why do you think she's even there? Why do you think ANY of the characters are even there?!

I'm pretty sure that if a person is in a story, and they have a sizable amount of lines, and a relationship with other main characters, then they are important and will do things.
