Well... CarboHydroM does some pretty damn good remixes of songs. For example, here's a remix of Fatalize:
Cave Story Recomposed. I'm not normally a fan of the "recreate the song note-for-note with different plug-ins" style of remixing, but this guy makes it work.

Shutdown sequence initiated.It's a bit hard to find, but the Crystal Flash remix of Super Metroid is amazing. TWENTY-TWO MINUTES LONG-It's almost the entire soundtrack of the game
