Hitomi flat-out said she was confessing her own feelings. Kinda hard to misinterpret that.

Yeah, she may be an Ojou/Yamato Nadeshiko, but she meant it when she said she would confess.

Also, I recommend that you actually watch the series before doing any fanwork on it. It's one thing to read about the series and the spoilers, but it's a completely different experience when seeing those thing actually happen. The context and the way the scenes happen cannot be completely replicated by description alone (especially not the witches and episode 12).

Alsoso, keep in mind, this series is not 100% deconstruction. You'll understand by the last episode.

Alsososo, while watching the series, you can't say that anything was predictable, because you already read the spoilers.

I think I'd say pretty well.

I figured it was aimed at me, since I'm kinda blatant about being a Spoiler Hound.

You're not the only one who boastfully claimed to be a Spoiler Hound.

Madoka Magica was one of the shows that I was constantly whamed by. It helps that I saw the episodes as they were premiering (this is what I boast about ). Yes, I (I think you were there too Psyga) had to wait for the last two episodes for about a month. The reason for the delay though, was completely understandable.

Yeah. I had to wait too, you were right about that, but I didn't watch the show and I came into it pretty late (In between episode 8 and 9), and that was mostly because I found the overall concept interesting and that I've read rumors that the show was being canned because it was too violent.

Oh, Moral Guardians, complaining about violence in a show that airs in a timeslot where fanservice abounds.

Those last two, or even three episodes could have been reworked and released as a movie if it were cancelled. If it were released on Walpurgisnacht, 2012, then there would have been so many reactions. _Glorious, Thundering ~R E A C T I O N S!~

But I'm glad they were released anyways. On Good Friday.

VERY compatible crossover idea: PMMM and Young Wizards. It was the fight against entropy and aliens that did it...

I'm glad I'm not the only one that's thought of that. The second I heard Kyubey mention entropy in the anime, that's what I thought of...

Oh my god, that's BRILLIANT! Why didn't I think of that? And the Incubators behave so similarly to other creatures that have been corrupted by the Lone One, like in the third book, that one of Dairine's turtles that was creepily proposing to stop time. Of course, that series has a fairly clearly demarcated line between good and evil actions, so there'd be some trick or twist in the Incubator's actions. My guess is that it would turn out witch harvesting is unsustainable and would end with a universe that is will live longer, but is nothing but a hellscape of emotionless beings and eldritch abominations, stamping out feeling and sentient life as soon as they find it, until every goose that lays golden eggs is slain and there is no hope or happiness, only entropy.

This crossover makes so much sense, it practically writes itself. Remember all the cool narratives about the Lone One's temptations, like Song of the Twelve and the Irish myths? Imagine one of those about Incubator society. Holy shit, an "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight against a witch might actually WORK if you're calling out in the Speech! I mean, it seems like the true name of the person might be hidden somewhere in the name of a witch, considering how the person's nature affects the witch's barrier and familiars and stuff.

I think this might actually be the only universe that can cheerfully and optimistically crossover with Madoka, because their benign reality warping has exactly the right powers to fix things. Jesus, looking at it like that, I could feasibly see the Incubators being redeemed.

If I were writing this, I would have a young girl (as in, the age Dairine was when she became a wizard) take the Wizarding Oath, and be tempted by the Incubators and maybe even contract (and then be awesome and fix everything) as part of her Ordeal.

I'm currently blasting through the books to be able to write this…

Hey, would Madokami count as a Power?

Maybe? From the earlier books I assumed the Powers referred to a specific group of beings who played a role in history, but then Ponch happened. But he was the Power of an entire sentient species. But at that power level, time gets fuzzy. Maybe he could have "been there" in a sense. I think Madokami would be an extremely powerful being, but more limited than true Powers. But it's up to your discretion.

She seems to me to fit the general definition of one.

So what, she's the Power Of Hope? After all, her wish means she's ALWAYS been like that for ALL time.
