Correct, he said that he was finally allowed to announce it to the world. I was unaware that the entire cast had been revealed just before he posted it though.

"Hey Steve Blum, we're going to announce you as the character to everyone but you can't mention it until the entire cast is out even though it's publicly known and officially released"

Yes, actors have to keep silent until they're given permission to speak about new projects. This is nothing new.

What I want to know is when, exactly, was the full cast list officially announced?

If it was before Sunday night, then that is indeed very strange.

It started at the middle of May on its Facebook page and ended this past Monday.

So he had to go the entire launch of new Toonami communicating with fans about supporting the block, ALL while NOT telling them he was also in a new show! ... a show that is in high demand for Toonami to pick up! That is agonizing!

Nondisclosure agreements are a huge bitch, in other words. ;)

Everyone in production has to go by those agreements too. Not just actors.

I like Tiger's voice who is completly slipping my mind right now. Very heroic. And Tara Platt is sounding very Mitsuru-ish here, and that is a good thing. Can't tell much of Yuri Lowenthal since he only has the one line. And such a reaction to Blue Rose's catchphrase. -sigh- And Patrick Seitz seems to having a blast going full Ham as Sky High.

Kotetsu sounds too young...

Not a 100% sure about Kotetsu, but the rest sound fine.

As someone who isn't too familar with anime, does anyone here know what are the chances that the DVD's will have the original Japanese voice acting with English subtitles? I'm guessing not very high.

I dunno, it sounds early 30s, which seems about right. Don't wanna make Karina's infatuation with him even more creepy.

He looks pretty young too. When I found out how old he was supposed to be I was surprised.

I've listened to some of this other voices. Now the Riddler sounds like Renji too me.

I don't think the voice is horrible, I just think the age sounds off.

Man, I'd almost forgotten how funny this series is.

The voices are OK. In fact I'm looking forward to watching the episodes in English to see how they compare overall- something I'd never cared for before.

I think the dub sounds pretty good so far. Wally Wingert does sound a bit young but not to the point where he doesn't sound like an adult so I think it will work so long as he keeps the character in tact, which seems to be the case. Everyone else sounds amazing though and I'm looking forward to hearing more.

Good to hear. Like I said the cast sound pretty accurate so far, but it's always good to have the choice.

Jesus I don't normally rewatch Anime as I have a schedule to do but damn I love this show so much I might as well relive it again.

Steve Blum makes anything rewatchable.
