He is also the bearer of the White Chronicle, a role that has been held by, again, hundreds throughout history. Finally, he is one of possibly infinite people chosen by Lippiti and Teo, celestial beings who preside over the timeline, to prevent the Bad Future that is present in 99.9999999...% of timelines.(although he is the only one to succeed.)

Most likely no. Griffon and Kruyger is a PMC first and foremost. While none of their forces are shown to kill actual humans on screen (their androids did wound one person, after some encouragements), there's no telling of what they did before the story begins.
